Because they are living a life based on fear. Anything that throws it off freaks them out even more.

I'm an atheist and a former Christian. I look at things pretty objectively. I have to say you're a bit nuts to say Christianity has no basis in Judaism. It's shot off in a totally different direction, I agree, but if you think it didn't originate with a base in Judaism, they you really don't know what you are talking about. Read the Bible. I still do, even though I don't buy into it.

I do not know where you got an original copy of the Torah in Hebrew to compare to anything,
Last I studied the original Torah is in aramaic, and because I am a Christian with a retired pastor who reads aramaic,
CHristianity has to have its roots in Israelite ground as we are all the seed of abraham via adoption , according to gods word in the new testament, and also the old.

It's just because it DOES have basis in Judaism but some Jews dont believe it. However a lot of Jews do, so you might want to find out why.

passion, causes the reaction. I have no lineage to Abraham so wiht out Jesus I am doomed in Judism. I will stick with my Get in free card.
Good luck on keeping the law and doing the sacrifices. It is hard to go to Temple in Jerusalem once a year with your Sheep etc. when the Temple is in ruins.
I am sure God will find a way to work it out for you.
OOh. God did. He made the sacrifice for you 2000+ years ago.
Cool see you on the other side.

Your right the law was fulfilled with Christ, some Jews did not recognize Him. I guess Christians freak out because they know that this is the same God from the beginning who was rejected by His own.

I wouldn't freak out, I'd just say you didn't know your Bible well enough. Read it, all the parallels and fulfillments of Jewish prophecy are stunning for Christianity not coming out of Judaism

Christians like myself owe the Jewish people a large debt of thanks and gratitude. The Jews are God's chosen people who have given the world the Old and New Testament prophets,patriarchs--Abraham, Issac and Jacob, Mary, Joseph and the greatest blessing given to the world---Jesus Christ!!!
If the God did not favor Jews and the nation of Israel, we would not have the Holy Bible or even the Christian religion.
God spurned the Jews to jealousy because of their disobedience so the gentiles may be saved and given the chance to receive Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
Romans 11:11-24
11Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
13I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry 14in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
Romans 9:30-33
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." 33As it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
Both religions await the coming of Jesus Christ 's return to rule from the throne of David in the city of Jerusalem!!!
