It is a very tragic situation. I think Iran is starting this to take attention away from their nuclear ambitions. It is well known that Hezbullah is funded and politically supported by both Syria and Iran. Iran's fanatical president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the new Adolf Hitler. He has repeatedly called for Israel's destruction. People need to understand that we need to fight this kind of horrific radicalism because if we don't, we will end up in Israel's position. THE UNITED STATES IS THE REAL TARGET of these fanatics, Israel is just a proxy for the United States. I love Israel and believe the she should defend herself against this brutality. We as Americans should understand we are next because THESE FANATICS CONSIDER US TO BE THE GREAT SATAN. These people are psychotic, irrational, and, obviously, enormously dangerous. HAMAS, HEZBULLAH, AND AL QAEDA MUST BE STOPPED. There is no other way. If we don't kill them first, they will kill us. They will come after us no matter what it takes and THEY ARE DETERMINED TO DESTROY US ALL. These fanatics must be destroyed for the sake of all of us who BELIEVE IN LIVING IN FREEDOM.

I think Syria will get involved before Iran. I think if Israel pulls out soon, maybe they can stop a war, but if they continue, a war will happen. Of course Egypt is trying to mediate them but sadly, it's not working.
I don't think Lebanon and Palestine will be able to win a war against Israel, simply because of Israel's state of the art air force, but if Iran and Syria join.. Israel could be a thing of the past.

well, we are close to the end. and the great tribulation.. and it looks like it is getting serious...
This is way more than we can handle, with Korea, Iran, and now Israel . We are in way over our heads and will have a hard time if we have to get involved in another soldier fight.. Iraq is not going well and doesn't seem like it will get better. The (peaceful) muslims (if there is such a thing) seem to be cowards and will not support a democratic govt and they hate the US soldiers, so it just isn't working..

I feel awful about all this. I'm sure almost everyone in Lebanon and Israel wants to avoid repeating the eighties, but the terrorists get bored with peace, I guess.... the loss of the airport, Lebanon's only airport is an awful thing for Lebanon's tourist industry.

i think that Isreal is fighting for recognition. I just do not agree with how they are going about it. While i am myself a jew i think there comes a time when you learn that violence just is not the answer. We have terrorists because we create them. So, We as in the world need to stop... no one nation is better than the next.

What I cannot believe is; there are many civilian people dying. Yesterday it was Palestinians, and now Hamas is attacking, too, so Israelis will be hurt!.. But people I saw always comment, "Go Israel, destroy Hamas!" or, "Hamas, kill those zionists!"!!! NOTHING MORE!..
I cannot believe that!..
