The only difference is the perspective of the person saying it. If Jews have a right to Jerusalem, then Indians have a right to Manhattan (which we didn't buy, by the way. We rented it, then killed the owners.). If you wouldn't give back American land, then don't expect Palestinians to give up theirs.
As for their tactics, they are no more brutal or cowardly than the Israelis. Just the other day, Israel destroyed electricity for 600,000 Palestinians in the middle of Summer. They tear down the family homes of suicide bombers. They construct settlements in territories that they occupy to keep separation between Israelis and Palestinians, creating the need to occupy more land to protect the new settlers.
Israel has violated so many human rights statutes that they can no longer play the victim; they are the aggressor. They have all the power.

Here's the short story: Palestine was a virtually uninhabited wasteland until the Zionist settlers started coming at the end of the 19th century. Their presence led to an economic blossoming, which began to attract Arabs. When that Arab population reached critical mass, they began to think about wiping out the Jews who had made the place more than a wasteland. After WWII, Palestinian Arabs and Jews were offered the compromise of a two-state solution. The Jews accepted. The Arabs refused and five Arab nations launched a war to wipe out the Jewish state. Too bad for you -- Israel won.
Israelis aren't terrorists. They pulled out of Gaza, and what did you do? You immediately started using Gaza as a base for rocket attacks. It's what you always do. Why? You don't just want the "occupied territories." You want to wipe Israel out, and replace the Middle East's only democracy with another Islamic state. *You* are the terrorists. *You* are the ones blowing up falafel stands and pizza parlors and buses, and shredding toddlers with bomb packs packed with nails and screws. *You* are the ones who teach hatred and intolerance to your children. *You* are the ones with a press that freely publishes vile anti-Semitic propaganda. *You* are the ones who couldn't establish a free modern republic if your lives depended on it.
Here's the thing: Israel is there to stay. If you accept it, there can be a compromise. If your goal remains to wipe Israel out, they will fight to the death, and we will be on their side. And we've got daisy cutters.

The Jews of Israel are fighting because the Hezbollah are shooting missles into their country. Religion has nothing to do with it. It's power. Israel can kick the livin' poop out of their adversaries, and are doing so. And it's a good thing too.
I'd rather have Israel in power rather than crazy foaming out the mouth Islamic Extremists that want everyone to convert or die. They are even killing those leaders in their own denominations.
I believe that Israel is Israel because God said that Israel would be there. I also believe that Islam is false. If the birthright promise went to Ishmael, then the descendants of Isaac would have no leg to stand on. They would not be able to be agressive to the descendants of Ishmael. Let alone, hold their ground.
Ishmael loses their own gates to their enemies, the descendants of Isaac take their gates from them. This, in a scriptural proof, shows that Ishmael is not the child of promise. That the sons of Isaac are the sons of promise through Abraham.
So Paul was right:
Galatians 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
Hagar was not the mother of the child of promise, but it was Sarah.
The land where Israel sits is that very land that was promised to the children of Israel. In a religious sense, they have Israel because God said that it was theirs.

Here is the answer. Read it in Genesis chapter 3 and weep.
14 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring [a] forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."

Israel was created by the United Nations, the only state in the world to be so created. That makes Israel as legal a state as there is.
The Jews are the indigenous people of the land, who lived there since the bronze age. Just because the arabs conquered what wasn't theirs doesn't mean it is theirs.
Suicide bombers are called terrorists because they blow up babies in pizzerias. Humans do not do this. Terrorists do.

what about the fact that the jews and arab people are both seeds of abraham. he had TWO sons. so theoretically it belongs to both of them, right? Then consider that the jews of today are not the hebrews of abrahams day, so who are the true sons? Plus, Israel is a afriend of America - we give them millions in aid every year. enough said.

the land originally belonged to the Jews, they just go their land back. and Jews don't put IED's (bombs) on highways or cut off the heads of people that are trying to help them. the Jews just want to live in peace but the muslims refuse to live in peace. they refuse to live in peace as long as Israel exists, and Israel has done nothing to deserve the hatred of the muslim religion.

The only logical thing we can do is ask God to help them see that they are all brothers. Taking sides is just becoming part of the problem.
Taking sides is what keeps the killing going and going and going.

Israel came into existence over 3000 years ago. If you were to read the Bible you would see the history before your eyes unravel. Not one story of the Bible has ever been disproved - NOT ONE!
