Now according to their religion their god gave man free will over the planet and whatnot. So now that there is more evidence than a stack of a thousand Bibles that man has used his free will to decimate the planet and cause the calamity of global warming, but the "religious right" refuses to believe it. Why wouldn't these people want to use their free will to do something about it? Wouldn't it be a sin to not try to help stop global warming from potentially killing millions of people?

So this so called creator made the universe in 6 god days, but is a god day the same as an earth day, or is it a universe day, or is it a multiverse day? A multiverse day would take billions of earth years to complete. Suppose that god created the rules of science and created the multiverse to follow the rules. Why would he create an evolving multiverse and have one species that didn't have evolutionary traits? After all if evolution isn't true, then how does a christian explain viral mutation?

I've been told that there is a God because if there wasn't, how could things exist? Why can't people accept that perhaps existence itself does not require a creator or an origin?

Now I don't just mean the HBO series. What do I mean is, can polygamy be a functional model for marriage? Not only do I believe it is possible to love more than one person at once but I believe it is also possible to be faithful within the group as well as to co-share financial responsibility. Obviously there are complications that could arise such as jealousies and the splitting up assets if any do divorce the group. But how can we bar what we do not understand? Most of us have grown up being taught polygamy is wrong. We might not agree or chose to live in a different manner, but shouldn't it at least be legally allowed, else we are only legislating morality? As long as no ones rights are being violated I say, let it be tolerated.

My fiance and I have decided to change our lives and be born again. We are now both living for GOD, (a saved life) I know when you convert your life to Christ you're supposed to follow the 10 commandments. One being thall shall not fornicate!!!! It is so hard for the both of us, everytime we slip up we both feel guilty and there we are again praying to GOD for forgiveness. We don't live together, and we always say what we must stop doing in order for this to stop but we won't follow what we say we must do. We're not getting married until a year from now, I just don't want to keep letting GOD down. Please Give Us Some Advice...

No disrespect but please only believers respond, as this is a serious matter!!!

Think about what sin actually caused. We would all be a bunch of naked farmers with no technology. Clothing wouldnt exists, the internet wouldnt have been invented, movies would be about grass growing if they were even here. Millions of jobs would not be there! No police, no army, no fireworks, and no holidays. Thinkg about it, other then your birthday everyholiday wouldnt exists. Without sin there would have been plenty of oil for the temple, no need for the cross, hallowen would be candyless, no indenpendance day.

I was just wondering, if you were in a plane and it was heading nose down for the ground and about to crash what would you do? I know that I would be praying, what would you be doing--just letting it happen?

Exodus 21:2-6 NLT

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever.

Do you think that you will/should go to Heaven or hell? If you knew the day and hour of when you were going to die, would you take the chance in thinking that God should let you into Heaven because you have been a good person or haven’t murdered anyone? You can take that chance or you can begin to do what is right. You may ask “Then what’s the right thing to do?”

First, pray this prayer and mean it in your heart:
Dear God, Please forgive me for all the times that I have sinned against you. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to the cross so that my sins may be forgiven. God, I repent from my sins. Jesus, I receive you, so please come into my heart and my life and make me a New Creation! Amen!

“Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. To put your faith in action, be sure to spend time with God by reading your Bible, praying, going to church, and telling others about Christ.” – Greg Laurie

I am curious - If specific bad things happen to people that wrong me for no good reason and I am affected directly by the good things in life I do...Is this Karma, force of nature, divine, spiritual, luck, magic, all, none or other.

I believe it's Karma. Just based on what I've seen. I have specifically warned people not to wrong me without having a good reason to do so. When they do, even though I do not wish it, normally drastically bad things happen to them. Oh, I know, it could just be coincidence, but I have seen it happen WAY to many times to just be chance. My girlfriend has seen it happen many times over the last year to her amazement.

If I had to classify myslef, lets just say I have had many many strange and unexplanable things happen to me on many levels. They contine I believe because I do not ask for explanation.

Any input would be interesting.
