It is an improvement on the earlier translation. Some people think they've sacrificed some of the fluidity of the liturgy in order to increase their accuracy but I say accuracy is more important. A lot of people fear it will sound too awkward but I guess we'll just have to see.

It is an improvement (somewhat) on the earlier translation in terms of its faithfulness to the Latin. It is a little inelegant - they've sacrificed some of the poetry of the liturgy in order to increase their accuracy.
I think the Catholic church would have done well to study the Book of Common prayer, and hewn closely to that. They could have fixed all the "thees", "thous", and "thys" and left the otherwise beautiful language of that mass translation more or less the same (except for the Anglican differences in the mass of course.)
