The translation of the Greek into English is correct and verified several hundred times over. The Muslims will make some pretty far fetched claims to discredit the Bible yet say they respect the Bible and go as far to quote from the same Bible they taut as lies.
They have an agenda and will say anything and if possible pass off lies in such a way they think to add credence to their own set of lies in the Koran - of course they are not aware of the lies - but believe them non the less.

No, it's a direct translation. But then - so is a reference to the "sons of God" who descended to Earth to marry human women (in Genesis, right before the flood, don't remember the verse numbers).

No... Particularly not in John. John has a pretty strong theological ax to grind. John is also the primary source for the title "son of man", which is another way of saying that Jesus was human. But again John is grinding away on his theological ax.

No. Jesus is the "Only Begotton Son of God." By Him were all things created. The Father told Him how to do it. He did good.
