or does He just get credit for the good stuff, and the bad is man's fault? This is the impression I got from my last question.

Atheists go out of their way to attack Christianity, but they always say that people should respect all religions, "be nice", etc. I don't get it. Do they really mean that everything is ok except Christianity?

If you're going to say something like, "Christians try to shove their religion down my throat." Don't bother. It's simply not true. Yes, there are missionaries and such, but they're not doing any shoving, just introducing. Christians don't want to force anybody to do anything.

True Christianity (meaning belief in the Bible - nothing more, nothing less) is the most compassionate religion. No where in the Bible does it say to force anyone to do anything, kill anybody, or any such thing.

If I get any answers that tell me to shut up or something, you're just proving my point.

allah=...=f

so when hijackers praised allah remember who they sacrified for:

h=god=good angel=angel of death

and if I AM is god then should he praise don who equals allah?
or should Larri T, stay in rebellion to allah?

so if god fights allah who would win?

Literal belief in Bible down
By Preetom Bhattacharya
Religion News Service
A little more than one quarter of Americans believe the Bible is the literal word of God, down 10 percentage points since 1976.
According to a recent survey by the Gallup Poll, 28 percent of Americans believe the Bible is literally true, compared to 38 percent 30 years ago. The survey was conducted among 1,002 adults, aged 18 or older. Nearly half, 49 percent, said the Bible was the "inspired word of God," while 19 percent called it an "ancient book of fables." Only 3 percent had no opinion.
Eddie Gibbs, professor of church growth at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., said the "responses are cultural rather than reflecting of a deeper personal belief; the Bible has lost its position of cultural prominence."

it seems to be myth...that god sacrified his son..and saved us...does God need to sacrify his son to save us...Why does he needs sacrifice while he is the owner...creator and controller of everything...he punishes and forgives...
if he meant to forgive our sins by sacrifying his son...then he could do this without doing this....

You Christians will never win. I know you say nobody will win. That's because you Christians will quit before you get smashed.

After the crucifiction it says Mary ' supposing him to be the gardner" asked Him ( Jesus) where did you lay the body? Then after that at seaside he told his diciples to "cast the net on the right side to catch the fish" then it says when they came to shore that " they dared not ask who it was, knowing it was the Lord". Isn't it obvious that Jesus came back as someone else? God always throws a cruve ball He did it once and he'll do it again, the second coming already happened.

I don't know much about religions because I grew up in an all Christian home and wasn't taught about any other religions so I would like to get the names of some religions and a little bit about them.
ie who/what do they worship
what is their explination for our existance
what's the name of their holy book if there is one
what happens after we die
how should we live
anything else you can think of

Thanks for releasing me from my ignorance!

What can you do when you try everything humanly possible to remedy a situation, and think that you might have a solution, only to have every metaphorical door closed in your face? I have a desperate situation I've been trying to rectify, and no help. I am, honestly, sick of praying. I can say that because I know God is not intimidated by that statement. I have no other options at this point...I've thought about ending things. Has this happened to you?
(I will report anyone who can't "behave" like an adult.)

So like one of the main problems that atheists have against christians is that christians like to shove their religeon in peoples faces. But how come nowadays i see atheists showing their pride in not believing and fighting against christian beliefs and actually going around and shoving in peoples faces that they believe there is no God. If they believe that, shouldn't they just forget about the topic and move on with their life?

One day in a science (boo hiss) class at one of those liberal, commie, pinko universities, a professor asked the class if anyone in the class could prove that there was a god.
One of the students said: "There's a god because the bible says so."
"A man made book does not prove the existence of a deity," was the professor (probably a jew)'s reply.
Another student said. "I know there is a god because I see him in the face of smiling babies."
"That's just gas," said the jew professor who was probably an ACLU member.
Then a big juiced up Marine stood up: "There's a god and I'm going to prove it, he just told me to kick your a s s!"
As soon as the Marine stood up the FBI burst into the room and arrested the Marine for war crimes he commited in Iraq.
"You see," said the professor. "No god."

That professor's name - NIELS BOHR. (Look him up if you don't know who he is, genius.)

Religions that differ from your own? Do you think it is better to let children have knowledge of others' beliefs or to teach them only your own, thouroughly, and them let them study others later in life if they wish? Why or Why not?

According to the LDS doctrine....
If you are a male over 12 years of age and "worthy" (that is, if you are obedient, attend meetings, do not masturbate NOTES, etc.), you will be ordained to one of the levels of priesthood, and, if you continue to be faithful and obedient, you will gradually advance through the priesthood ranks. If you are female, you will receive the benefits of priesthood authority only indirectly, through your Mormon father or your Mormon husband. The role of the Mormon woman is to be a wife and mother and to obey and honor her priest husband (or father).

So I was just wondering...who is checking to see that 12 year old LDS males are not masturbating? Is there a special section of the church called Master Baiters?

I'm not putting down what any of you believe in, but i just don't see the point of religion in a modern world.

Take the Bible for instance:
Can anybody seriously believe in a world created in 6 days; the garden of eden; man created in gods' image; etc.

Hasn't science disproved all these theories now. Evolution; Big Bang; Expanding Universe.

We know that LONG before man walked the earth there were other creatures / things living here. So in one fell swoop 'Bang' goes the whole: 6 Day / Eden / Gods Image, thing.

Can we please stop killing each other because of a difference of opinion about a subject based in fiction and missplaced dreams.
