When a priest has committed a offence in the eyes of the law such as paedophilia how can that be legal? does that mean if your a priest you can do whatever you want and get away with it.

to often people just reported to the curch who tryed to hide it by moving the priest to a new area but hopefully now any priest doing such things will be castrated

The Catholic Church does not condone paedophilia, even if it is committed by the clergy. Paedophilia is illegal and immoral, and cases that are brought up are dealt with adequately.
Don't get me wrong, the Church is not without it's faults! I've heard of cases being "swept under the carpet" and "settled out of court", but it is a fact that there are certain procedures that the Church - as any organization - has set in place in order to deal with such cases.
It's unfortunate that the media has sensationalized this issue, and this has put the Church in disrepute!
Being a priest does not give you carte blanche to act as you please and to "get away with murder". Such behaviour is not tolerated and it is dealt with adequately!!!

Ummm, they do get sent to jail. The Church isn't above the law. When a priest commits an offence like the one you mentioned, the Church excommunicates him AND the law gets involved.

i recently watched ,song for a raggy boy' and cried my eyes out kid got murdered by a priest and all that happened was he was sent to work as a missionary. wankers.
