I'm questioning my faith right now, but I know that no matter what I choose Jesus Christ was a man who did great things and in my eyes, will always be a hero. Not many people could do the things he did, without complaining, breaking down, or commiting suicide. A lot of times, teens think the best way to get away from a "sucky life" is to commit suicide. Jesus went through a lot of pain and hurt, with many chances to commit suicide, but he made it through. That in my eyes, is why I view him as a hero.
The second answer which stated that all teenagers think about is sex, that is not true. Teenagers have a lot of pressure on them once they hit their junior year in high school. We have to decide what we want to do with our life and where we're gonna go to college and how we're gonna pay for our education. Sure, sex is on our minds sometimes, but thats not always what we are thinking about.

I am a teen myself. I am also an agnostic. Not against the belief of God. But I'm not quite sure if I believe in Him. After having my parents and granparents trying to force it down my throat then looking on it in my own perspective. I just don't believe He is all He is said to be. I mean how do you we exactly know this is all true that the ministers and pastors and rabbis and such say. I mean the bible is ancient. How do we know that it just wasn't some person with a mental problem that created. I mean I haven't looked into religion and such as much as I should, to hold a concrete conversation with someone. But from what I do know, and what I have been taught. Just it doesn't seem to equal up.

Well, I can approach this question from 2 different perspectives. 1)When I was a teenager and involved what was then called the Jesus Movement, I know that it helped me through times of sadness, molestation and depression, to know that I had a friend that would never leave me. Jesus was a total comfort to me, the people I came into contact with during these Jesus retreats, etc. were a means of great support and friendship. 2)Now I'm a grandmother and I see what the Lord does for the teens in my church. I have seen these teens become more fulfilled with peace and love, they have become more compassionate, more pleasant and have reprioritized their ambitions and priorities. I have seen them go from having low self-esteem to feeling special and helpful. Jesus can work miracles in anyone's life and to see it happen in teens brings great joy to my heart!

I asked my son and he said " I like him because he is sweet and stays crunchy in milk." But he is a teenager so what did you expect him to say? Probably from Dane Cook... "Christ-Chex and Jeezits."
He does know God though from what I have taught him but I didn't push religion onto my children, I want them to be able to think and discover for themselves...
They have a deep sence of what is right and wrong and I believe they believe in God... I don't know yet though? Time will tell... All I can do is let them know what I believe and make sure to educate them on everything else that is out there. They are good kids and will chose according to what their hearts dictate and that is how it should be. (I must admit though, I am routing for the Big Man Upstairs.)

As a born-again believer, I belive Jesus is my Lord and personal Savior. Like these other people said, it is very hard for Christian teens to live in a godly way. However it is possible, so keep on trusting.

Bullshit. This is based on the biblical figure Jesus Christ because the real person is unknown, but how he lived is an undesirable way of life. Loving everyone is overrated, illogical, and dangerous.

I am a teenager and I think that it is important to follow his teachings and live the way he lived. Also it is hard to do that in today's society because people will look at you weird and it is also hard to say that you follow Jesus while your actions say that you aren't following him. It is much easier to be a hypocrite then to actaully follow him. I feel it is important to follow him and his amazing teachings and also to give your life up to him.

Well a lot of teenagers believe in God. Even kids you never thought would ever believe in Him(i.e. "gangsters", "preps", etc.). Although kids may not like to go to church we do believe in God and his teachings. We just don't feel it necessary to scream it and be "godly" like a lot of adults feel we should.
