I know that Christians are very nice not all but most of them and i know that the all information that they have about Islam are mistaken but what i want to know that if you listen to this story of british guy who converted to Islam.under the title<< How i came to Islam>>.... i want to know your point of view honestly after you hear the story.... please if you don't hear the story first , don't answer this question.

these questions that i'm looking for their answers from you my friends.
1- What is your opinion about the story?
2-Do you ask yourself the same questions that british guy asked himself?
3- Is the Jesus God or messenger of God?
for muslims, they are not muslims if they don't believe that Jesus is GOD's messenger peace be upon him.
but the most important thing is to give me your opinion about the story.

That would explain the hostility and the desperate attempts to convert us so we can't have any fun either.

I finally decided to read the Bible and while there are good points and some good moral teachings, my general impression is he is always just angry and smiting people and wreaking havoc and being vengeful..any opinions

This is a much needed question to be answered. I know a bunch of fundies are going to spout all this dogma & "scripture" at it but I do not think it will really gets at the root of what Satan is suppose to represent. I think Satan is not a person so much as more so a post, or even better yet the supreme archetype for evil. To be afraid of Satan is like being afraid of the boogie man. Fear is a really spiritual downer. Didn't Gandhi once say, the only demons that exist are the ones in our own head? In other words we allow ourselves to be evil, or good for that matter. Oh, I'm sure that there might be non-corporeal beings that have + or - influences upon us. But to a greater extent it is our own selves to give in or resist such influences. To think there's a fixed evil being that heads up the department of evil is asinine & flies in the face of freewill. All entities have freewill. So why would "demons" have to stay demons and not become helpful beings?

i saw a question on this forum, that went like this:

"Would the Christians please do me a favor?
Lets all refrain from asking any questions to the Atheist, and not responding to any questions from the Atheist. If they wouldn't have anyone to bit*h at, maybe they would get board and leave then we could have serious discussions about the word of God without listening to their crap. Will you help me? "

Until there it made sense to me, and i could even understand it.

The same person asked a new question after that, this one:

I know this is just an example of a silly person, and i know 90% of the people on this forum are nice and good people. But after this i really need to have confirmation on that :)

I am a patriotic american, but first and foremost I am dedicated to Christ.....so which is more important to you? Your faith or your country? If america were overtaken tomorrow by muslim extremist, would that affect your faith? And can you separate your patriotism from your spiritual allegiance?

I really do not understand all the hoopla behind ppl and religion. We believe in what we believe in, we are whatever we are, and who is anyone else to condemn it? If you read a question on here about religion that offends you, that is your deal because you chose to read it. I say that NO ONE has the right to cram the "right" religion down anyones throat, because there is no "right" religion. To each his or own. Anyone have an opinion?

1Tim 2:11-1211 "Let a woman* learn in silence with full submission. 12I permit no woman* to teach or to have authority over a man;* she is to keep silent"

22 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters* in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.* 23Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters,* 24since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve* the Lord Christ."

Also, to not lust anymore means to not look at females for their beauty and good looks. Which means a man is supposed to suppress himself and his hunger for a woman. It sounds to me like you're so supposed to be celibate. Based upon having sex before marriage a big no in religion. At the same time another big no in masturbation. My God, what can you do sexually? That's a lot of stress on an individual, plus all the bodily fluids have to come out one way or another by nature. Wet dreams. Plus, it seems that in religion sexuality is considered taboo. I'm naturally a masculine person in personality. Now if I do stop lusting for women or a woman won't that make me into lowering my masculinity for the sake of not lusting? It sounds like a cat or dog being neutered in a similie. Why does the Word of God command that we don't lust?

Considering music was religion Pre-christianity and that our lives are so heavily influenced by music. And for those who so very hard try to understand the nature of music. We do hang out usually with people who like same music. Andwe get lost in our music. Who agrees and elaborate if you will.
Personally I have connected with these musicans and theyve shared experiences with me unlike any church leader. Please----What do you think.

By God I mean belief that we should strive to know everything, strive to be perfectly good and just, strive for infinite beauty in life. I see all the so-called believers in god (the Christians, the Jews, the Muslims) as unbelievers who pride ignorance and irrationality, strive to be cruel and mean and unjust, and strive for ugliness (vulgar, brutal) with their constant killing, murder, terrorism, injustice, racism, and greed.

I ask questions after questions about God. The answers are mostly "God isn't logical" or "We don't have the capacity to understand God" or "You must have faith" or "Only God knows" aka "I don't know".

How can people believe so passionately about something that they really don't understand or know much about? I'd rather not have faith than have faith and have all these unanswerable questions. x_x
