If you read the bible you will find where their are a lot of prophecies about the things that are currently going on in this world. An example is the issue that is currently going on the middle east between Israel and Egypt. It also prophesize about the problems that Christians will face when they call his name and praise him. I could go on about other examples, but is best to read the bible.

How We Know We Are in "the Last Days"

How many Bible prophecies remain to be fulfilled before God destroys this present system? Very few! One of the last is at 1 Thessalonians 5:3, which states: "While they are talking of peace and security, all at once calamity is upon them." (The New English Bible) This shows that the end of this system will begin "while they are talking." Unforeseen by the world, destruction will strike when least expected, when the attention of humans is on their hoped-for peace and security.

The Bible speaks of "the conclusion of the system of things".Fulfilment of prophecies found at Mat.Chpt24,Luke Chpt21 and Mark Chpt13 had a initial fulfilment in the first century, and are now having a major fulfilment in our time.
At 2Tim.3:1-5,Paul describes events surrounding "the last days",which are also having fulfilment in our day.
The Book of Revelation is correctly placed last in the Holy Scriptures, for it is the Revelation that takes its readers far into the future,by providing vision of what God's kingdom will do for mankind and the blessings to be enjoyed.
Micah Chpt 4 gives us a glimpse of things to come,as does Isa.65:17-25.Ps.37:9-11,29
;Pr2:21.
There are many scriptures that relate to the present times we live in now and what is to come.

I notice some of the answers referring to present day Israel and Jerusalem. What these ones have overlooked is that Jehovah finally abandoned the nation of Israel in 70CE by allowing the Babylonians to destroy Jerusalem and the Temple.Jehovah had turned his favor to a new nation,a spiritual Israel, the "Israel of God"as the apostle Paul calls the congregation of Jesus Christ (Gal.6:16;Mat.21:43;Rom.9:6-8).
It is this spiritual nation,"the Israel of God" that has replaced fleshly Israel

NO. The Bible is actually a very poor prognosticator of the future. Historically, Christians have created bogus prophecy fulfulments by severely misinterpreting the texts.
