I know that Christians are very nice not all but most of them and i know that the all information that they have about Islam are mistaken but what i want to know that if you listen to this story of british guy who converted to Islam.under the title<< How i came to Islam>>.... i want to know your point of view honestly after you hear the story.... please if you don't hear the story first , don't answer this question.

these questions that i'm looking for their answers from you my friends.
1- What is your opinion about the story?
2-Do you ask yourself the same questions that british guy asked himself?
3- Is the Jesus God or messenger of God?
for muslims, they are not muslims if they don't believe that Jesus is GOD's messenger peace be upon him.
but the most important thing is to give me your opinion about the story.

I didn't ask for the historical background or anything else about Islam...I asked only about your opinion about the story and the other questions that are listed and it seems that no one listened to the story......when you answer you should say << i listened to the story and this is my opinion>> that's what i want.
no more.

Did anybody who answered actually listen to this?

Anyways...I'm still in the process of listening (halfway through), but I will have to head to bed soon so I'm answering already anyways.

First of all, I believe this man had thought he was a Christian, or was one intellectually, but in practice was not a follower of Christ. That is to say, while he could agree with the tenets and beliefs of Christianity, he had no personal relationship with Jesus and therefore was not really connected to God. If that were the case, I don't think he would have converted. The doubts are rather normal; I would not dare to have the audacity to assert that you're not a true Christian if you have doubts. That would be ridiculous as well as false. But the question that really shook his presumed faith is not one that should shake a true Christian. The fact that God died on the cross is definitely beyond comprehension, but not beyond acceptance. We don't know how God orchestrated the entire situation, but we do know that Jesus is God, the Son of God and also human. Just because we can't understand something doesn't dismiss it as false. It just means that we have limited capaciticies for understanding, and I'd certainly hope that would be the case when dealing with an almight, omnipotent and holy God.

Secondly, he makes many good points about the cultural differences, and the fact that we "rich" people in these first world countries seem to have a greater displeasure with life in general than many people from third world countries who are economically and often socially worse off than we are. But I don't believe the only reason for that is religion. There are a lot of people in England, in America, in Europe, in Africa...wherever, who are neither Christian nor Muslim and could fall into either category. Generally speaking, however, I think any religion is more likely to make a person happy (/happier) with life than an atheist, regardless of how true that religion is or not.

I believe that Jesus is God. The Trinity may be a difficult concept for us, but then again, anything dealing with God should be a difficult concept with us. I tell you, if I could begin to understand the complexities and specificities of God and his nature, I would not want to trust him with everything and anything, because that would place him within reach of my own capabilities. In other words, I want a God beyond comprehension and beyond proof, because that means he is far beyond humans and above our limited intelligence and knowledge. That's good; my future - here and after this life - lays in his hands. I want those hands to be more powerful than I could even hope to fathom.

On a final note, I think this guy digresses a lot. I don't know that his conversion story is really that captivating or that informative. It's interesting at times, but I can't relate at all, because I am not at all on the same level as he is, nor coming from the same perspective. I am a Christian who has doubts, and often at that. I struggle daily with the temptation to give into doubts that could, if given the power, undermine my faith. But because I have a personal relationship with Jesus (GOD), I have the strength and courage to face and overcome them. I think that if a Christian is overcome by his or her doubts, then perhaps that Christian isn't so much of a spiritual Christian, than an intellectual Christian (agreeing with the mind, but not seeing - and believing - with the heart).

That being said, perhaps I'll finish this another day, and if I do, I may get back to you. Just wanted to throw in my two cents before I go to bed! =)

To me it sounds as if the British guy found his calling, is very zealous in his conevrsion and articulate about it reminds me of Cat Stevens sorry I can't remember his new name.
No I don't ask myself the same questions I did go through a questioning period and found that I am a Christian and have been blessed with strong faith of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit my spiritual path had taken me down another path to God. I personally don't see Islam as evil, now fundalmentalists of all ilk can be evil. Islam is the branch off Ishmael, son of Hagar and Abram. God will be the judge on how we worship and honor him. Jesus is not only a prophet he is the Messiah I believe this deep my heart as much as a Muslim would honor Allah. The statements he has about the difference in first and 3rd world countries are true but it is not Christianity that is the disparager. The dead of soul and reality walk in many countries. True believers don't pay lip service it is in actions we are known. I guess because of my intellectual and emotional connection to my faith his statements do and do not ring true for me yes he has a point but true Christianity has the same problems with the 1st world. I respect the right to your belief system but I will not convert I have my God thank you

Islam is unholy. The Master of deceit, Satan, will use ANY means necessary to sway you from the One true God and His Son, Jesus Christ. DO NOT buy the rhetoric of Islam - it will destroy your faith.

It is very plain that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He to become a man so He could die for your sins. He rose from the dead so you can stand just before God. Your messenger is not of God at all but of hatred and war. OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights:
Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.
Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage.
A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia.
Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage.
Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.
Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage
Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.
Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.
Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.
