i saw a question on this forum, that went like this:
"Would the Christians please do me a favor?
Lets all refrain from asking any questions to the Atheist, and not responding to any questions from the Atheist. If they wouldn't have anyone to bit*h at, maybe they would get board and leave then we could have serious discussions about the word of God without listening to their crap. Will you help me? "
Until there it made sense to me, and i could even understand it.
The same person asked a new question after that, this one:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArrviGQg2kOfnieHnfISHA_sy6IX?qid=20060704174748AAVeZFl
I know this is just an example of a silly person, and i know 90% of the people on this forum are nice and good people. But after this i really need to have confirmation on that :)

Hello mark_intotde... :)
First of all, I would like to apologize for the remarks made by that person.. :(
This site does not say Christians only..it is the Religious and Spirituality site..
If they do not want to answer questions that have been asked by other beliefs..they do not have to..that is their choice..my choice is not to limit myself to just believers in Christ..for Jesus died for Everyone..not just some.. :)
Great Question..
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

Alot of people take believing and trusting in God as a joke. Alot of people think that just because they believe that God is real and that they go to church and have morals that they are a christian. But thats not true. Being a christian takes having a personal relationship with God, studying Gods word regularly and working towards being a better person and getting closer with God. You have to do more then the average. Most people you come across that claim that they are a christian are really not true christians. Life is so serious and sometimes people become bombarded with emotions and questions but they never fully seek the answers and relief. We always tend to put self in things. So, most people twist what God says, let the world influence, and put their own experiences in it to develop the truth. And we as society slap the word christian across their chest just because they said God or Jesus. Sometimes you will find a few christians doing things that you might think that is not Godly like. But the thing is are they trying to get delivered?

Here is a link to that first question, in case someone wants to fact-check this question:

I appears that this person is a troll, and should not be taken as representative of the majority of people on this forum who claim Christianity.
However, I agree with him in ONE respect. It would be nice if the "Religion & Spirituality" section were used primarily by people who believed in religion and/or spirituality. Maybe they need their own section.

I answered his first question. Really wish I had looked at his profile before I did.
I do wish there was some way to distinguish between an honest question and a troll question. I'm even okay with a question that on the surface seems offensive if the person legitimately wants to know. I just hate the ones (from either side, frankly) that are out to incite hatred and unproductive controversy.

Having faith in humanity only leads to disappointment. If you're a Christian, you'll put your hope on our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ.
I do hope that you don't really need confirmation that people are "nice and good", because we aren't perfect. There'll be times we act stupid or sin. Even the most "perfect" of people have their imperfections. A perfect person (other than Jesus) is an oxymoron.

The person who said that was not acting in a Godly way and was not representative of who Christians, in general, are. I hope that the person who posted those questions regrets his or her actions. Christians are required by Christ to get up close and personal with those who don't share our beliefs. It doesn't do the world much good if we only speak to other Christians! Christ set the example by becoming friends with people who were scorned by others, and that is what we need to do.

Asking from these people will really confuse you about things so the best thing to do is DON'T. We are Christians and we have never asked this (atheist-whatever they call themselves) )people before and will never be. Your right spend your time on the word and be productive. Be focus and don't let anything distract you to God. Pray and read the word, ok. Don't mind them you're just wasting your time. God bless and hope I helped you.

Even Jesus had to listen to the non believers. this guy was wrong in what he said and gives the true Christians a bad rap. it would be nice to have a good conversation though. I believe they are truly seeking the truth. They are just getting abused but Christians that lack full knowledge of truth.

Faith in humanity - that is questionable
Faith in God - that is assurance
Christians are people who believe in Christ. You cannot expect perfection to those who believe. Every human being is subject to err.
Don't look at the ways and intellect of those who had accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
From glory to glory we'll be upgraded. We just stay find His ways and means and asks His moving in all our ways and surrender to any plan He had laid for us. We have just believed Him because of His goodness - the only true to His Words. Let's just obey His Words and experience His blessings.

Not all Christians are inconsistent. Just the fundamentalists! Christianity is about loving everyone, and leaving the judging up to God.
