the bible doesnt say you can beat your kids, but i sure would bust that *** if my kids talked back in a disrespectfull way as in with attitude. you can spank them on the butt not on the legs or back and not hard enough to bruise them. my parents used a thin board (like the thickness of a cutting board) with holes so that they didn't hit me that hard and bruise me (2 swats was the limit) but i sure did feel the sting and learned when they wanted that board i crossed the line.and i didnt get a swat till dad got home that way dad wasn't crazy mad and mom had time to cool, and i was reminded of what i did wrong. So just explain to your kid why he/she is going to get spanked AND ALWAYS LET THEM KNOW YOU LOVE THEM

we don't ignore. We basically understand that the Hebrew be conscious is greater proper translated "strike." confident, we ought to continually spank our youthful baby whilst they're intentionally rebellious. that would not propose to beat them. we don't make a doctrine around one or 2 verses. We additionally examine the place we are to love our young toddlers and not galvanize them to wrath. Stoning replaced into for the previous Covenant interior the previous Covenant rules for the Jews. i'm a Christian. I stay interior the hot Covenant.

No, whether the frequency is a high pitched voice, or a low one, if they talk back .... it's the stoning and beating for them, period!

Don't beat your kid. Spanking is a form of punishiment but the bible never says to beat your kid. However, never spank your kid when you are angry. Give yourself a timeout and cool down first before you punish your kid.

As a Methodist, I use 'reason' when interpreting the Bible. I don't beat my kids. Using violence on your kids will only inspire them to be violent.

Here is what it says more specifically;
18 "If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father and mother, who does not heed them when they discipline him, 19then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his town at the gate of that place. 20They shall say to the elders of his town, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. So you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel will hear, and be afraid."
