100% Yes.

I've lost good friends, I've had tension at work because I won't support some of their charities (they go against pro-life - they can't fire me because it's not in my job description), and I have family who don't really talk to me anymore.

I pray for them all, each and every night.

If he asked me, would I give everything I have left? Again, Yes, emphatically, without hesitation.

First we need to determine which God we are talking about here. Are you referring to the real God, the unconditionally loving God who we are all a part of? This is the one Jesus was talking about when he said the kingdom of God is within you. The one who is our dearest friend and closest companion. Yes I would follow this God.

Or are we talking about the angry little judgmental God that lives on some far off cloud called heaven. The one who seems to be more concerned with our errors than he is with our successes? You know the egocentric needy little God that always wants people to worship him. The one who is always unavailable because he is only a fantasy? Would not follow this looser around the block. You need to specify if you want a real answer

i believe by "giving up" Christ means not holding on so tightly that we turn a deaf ear to God's will when he calls us away. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added onto you.

God is a God of community, and calls us to love all. He believes in the family unit, and is the reason it exists. None-the-less, seek God first, and follow his promptings, knowing that our family is larger than we acknowledge.

God has already said just that. I would leave everything even my life for the promise of God. I believe that strong.

If God said to follow him anywhere or do anything, I would. I wouldn't expect anything returned that I lost. His sacrifice is enough for me.

Been there done that. I've lost family relationships cause of my faith, lost my job because i was ethical(biblical principals) i have given over control of my life to God and sometimes he rearranges it to accomplish something new.

If God wanted me to, yes, if any of those opposed my freedom to God yes I would, though I love my family, they will not be a stumbling block between my & God.

I already have. gave up a home as well. God wants me to trust in Him, not in man.

If any person gave up these things for a myth than they should be committed.
