I don't know why many people seem to think it's a sign of oppression to women. Maybe it's because of the biased media? I respect Muslim women and It is such a big problem when they cover up but isn't such a big deal when you get people walking around half naked. And many Muslim women don't wear the hijaab.
If i'm so privelaged to meet these strong women, I would pay my respects to them.
What do you think?

yes you guys...I just ate a HUGE piece of carrot cake...enuff for 2 pple...my diet is ruined for the day.....the calorie gods are angry......and I fear that if I continue they will strike me in the buttocks and the thighs...(even though I am so skinny that I look like a toothpick with hair ) lol BUT I shall immediatly atone by drinking a diet coke ....glug..glug...I cant help it though...that banana bread brought out the inner primate within me...Ill be outside swinging on our swingset until you guys respond...any advice accepted...just try to be nice plz

Let me get this straight, people have word for word what conversations they had with god in the bible? Yet, since 2000 years ago, he hasn't said anything to anyone worth writing down.... I know the wine was flowing back then and that desert sun was hot but come on now. People read this stuff and believe it actually is word for word a conversation someone had with god. It's called Literary license people!

Should some Christians stop being negative and judgmental when spreading the good word? Should some non-Chrisitians stop judging all Christians based on the bad actions of a few? What is to be done?

P.S. - I am not trying to endorse the Christian religion, preach to anyone, etc. Just ask this as a generic question.

Ezek. 23:20 (NIV) "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."

Ezek. 23:20 (KJV) "For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses."

Look how the Amplified Bible attempts to clean it up:

"For she doted upon her paramours there, whose lust was sensuous and vulgar like that of asses or stallions."

And the New Living Translation tries to cover it up further:

"She lusted after lovers whose attentions were gross and bestial."

The same Christians who would be appalled if such statements appeared in a book that their children brought home from the library, see nothing wrong with it being in the Bible! In fact, I'll bet that 99% of them don't even know it's there. The Bible is vulgar, violent, and should be banned from the shelves to anyone under the age of 18. I won't be surprised if this message is deleted for its content.

are people just looking for trouble from the high angels or some thing? i find it sad that christians think we are there servants and we are not to be bowed to i am sure there are those who sooner kill christians than love them. angels do and have always lived amoung the human world. you would be suprised if you didnt meet a real angel in the yahoo answers department. christians if you keep assuming things you may just find out what is the truth and not the truth..(assume = *** out of U and Me)

They think the whole reason we're Paganism (Wicca to be exact) is because "All of our friends do it", and "We don't want to get up early on Sunday" Thus, impossible to actually find peace and completeness within Paganism. We just do it because it's "cool".

So, I would like all the Pagans to respond and write down why they're Pagan to try and dispel this misconception.

I am Wiccan because I've always had independent beliefs apart from Christianity like, reincarnation, karma, and the existence of the Mother Goddess. I had also been practicing healing arts with crystals since I was a little girl without even knowing what it was. I could go on but I have only so much space to write.

Human beings have a natural tendency to worship. I'm not just talking about religious worship. We idolize, want to know every thing we can about, and collect memorabilia of our favorite celebrities, atheletes, musicians... We faint and cry at concerts...
Don't you think this is because God loves worship so He created us with a need to worship but many times, like all of the above, it is misdirected?? What do you think?

This section has a lot of trolls. There are a lot of atheist troll basically answers every question with there is no God. The theist troll basically answers every question with I am praying you come to have faith and conform to my believe.

I have noticed there is a good core group of theists and agnostics and atheists who try and read and give good answers. I usually disregard the trolls on this site now.

Does anyone else notice this, and just wish we could have like a conversation amougst the 40 of us without the trolls from both sides cluttering up our questions and other people who ask good questions when we scroll through the answers?

You know..it just occured to me...I wonder if atheists got their start at Woodstock...I watched that movie of the concert and I bet some of them are from that era.... it all makes sense now..." power to the people..acid...back to the garden ( to smoke it ) and left handed Jimmi Hendrix playing the Star spangled banner with his teeth...that " everything sucks " kinda attitude.....especially church and " religion "....then all the cynical moods that floated out of that...Those must have been rough times...my sympathy to all the survivors...glad Im a kid and was able to start life in a loving environment...my parents were full of faith...my dad told my mom I was an angel when I popped out of her tummy...I wish this on everyone in the planet......and I pray a smile and happiness plague on everyone with no sign of any cure in the forseeable future.

Serious question. I have a few friends who are Wiccan, but most don't talk about it with me. Maybe because I am outsider, who knows. What is the difference between a Pagan, a Wiccan, a Druid and some of the other "alternative" religions as I hear some people call them. Please let me know especially if you belong to one of these religions, as I am curious and I want a better answer than wikipedia or whatever gives. Are their ranks like their are in the standard religions? Like priests, rabbis, and such? Do you have to study to become part of any of those religions? Are there services for these religions? What's the deal with magic and these religions? Please enlighten me so I am not ignorant about these religions.
