The Christian image could be improved by Christian families by displaying "family values" in public such as praying at the table before eating their food in restaurants. You can tell a Christian by their acts of kindness, their acts of non rudeness. They do not boast about their religion, but set a good example of being Christ like....not like Christ around other people. They are just "darn nice people"! When you are looking at a person who is really making you mad, picture them as though it were Christ's face and then see how you would answer them instead of what you were gonna do or say. It's dramatically different than what you were thinking at first. Jesus loves OUR ememies as much as He loves us. That's all I can say about it right now.

Just what you said, we should stop being so judgmental and self-righteous at times. Yes, non-Christians should not judge all Christians based on the actions of a few. That is also being judgmental. They only thing that can be done is for everyone to see this in themselves and try to change. Very good question by the way. I hope everyone, myself included, stop and think about our actions.

The extreme right wing of Christianity has given the whole religion a bad rap, and a good PR campaign is in order. I can totally feel for Muslims who complain that their religion has been hi-jacked by lunatics and that they all get painted with the same brush.
The recent ad campaigns by the United Methodist Church and the United Church Of Christ are a good start. They let the world know that there is an open-minded and broader base to Christianity that the lunatics making the headlines.

I'll give you a perfect example. I have a neighbor that is a christian fundamentalist. Ever since she found out that I am a non-believer, she won't even talk to me. I live my life normally, I'm educated and I'm a great mother to my children. I have friends of many religions and ethnicities who do not judge me but for how I treat them. But this person is an exception. She is rude and speaks hatefully to my son, so I make it a point to be with him when she's outside. She listens to christian music only, and is a day-care instructor at a church. She is an example of how judgemental and hypocritical some christians can be.

I think Christians need to be diplomatic and have an open mind when it comes to other religions. Stop being so judgmental.
They need to accept the fact that not everyone wants to convert even though they're already heard about the Good Word a billion times over.

It will probably remain that way because of too much freedom. But I believe that it is better that way because people's right are not being suppressed. If we need to have a drastic change, the there should be an authoritarian rule but is quite difficult because that wiil only breed rebels and more rebels. So I think it should better be left that way and let people say what they want or believe. Anyway, people do still repent in due time. God is watching and He will have the last say.

Everyone needs to stop worrying about everyone else and trying to control aspects of others' lives. That will be a good start. Then keep it that way, don't initiate aggression, and live however you see fit short of harming others. I'll stay out of the Christian's church, and he can stay out of my house.
But it'll never happen. Christians think they have a right to impose their beliefs via legislation on the rest of us. Conversely, there are atheists who hold the mistaken belief that they have a right to eliminate every trace of religion from public view. Religious conflict is like a giant, corrupt sub-government that isn't going away any time soon.

What a good question!..The first thing that has to be done is to get rid of the "psuedo-christians", the hate formatters, and the hell condemmers!..Religious extremism is the biggest problem in the world today, along with blind dogma!..Forget Islam, look at so called christianity..Mostly coming from the United States, have you ever watched some of those "televangelists"? Ranting and raving, mouth frothing hatred!.Racial superority constantly expounded..They are so powerful they control government in the USA..Look at Gw Bush! need i say more?..These things,as i see them are the main problems with Christianity..And why it is failing today!

I gladly endorse the Christion faith. I think the image can be improved if more people would actually pick up the bible and read it before saying bad things about other peoples faith.
The christian faith is one of a personal relationship with God. It's all about ones personal walk with God.
Don't look at others faith with a jaded eye until you've fully examined all the facts.

Being a christian is supposed to HUMBLE us, especially knowing that the bible says surely that one day every knee will bow and confess that Christ is LORD. Noone wants to be judged! It's like driving in from one side of town through rain, clouds, thunder and lightening with a wet car and telling everyone on the still sunny side of town that it is going to rain. They all say, "No it is not. The weatherman said it will be sunny all day." They can CHOOSE not to believe but they will be getting rained on soon enough. Also, the bible tells us not to be ashamed of Christ, so when someone chooses to reject Christ, I do not take it personal. I'm just glad I have a friend like Him. Good question!
