Referring to the recent sentencing of two of the homophobic murderers of Joe Dobrowsky in London UK, the details of his murder being so horrific it makes one ask what we are doing as a society to try to prevent this type of brutality.

The conservative evangelical branches of the Christian Churches, especially at the moment the Anglican Church is fuelling the sort of hatred that results in tragedies, even via the seemingly innocuous Alpha Course.

Those threatening schism and demanding repentance of the Episcopal Church of the US in ordaining Bishop Gene Robinson would be better to seek repentance from perpetrators of homophobic crime who mistakenly see approval to hate in such so-called Christian teaching.

YES!

When you are born there is no idea in your mind about a god or some sort of creator. It is only put their by your parents or society.

Therefore, friends, we are all brothers and sisters in atheism. I just believe that the theists just had a bad experience with atheism and are rejecting it. They need to open their mind and look at the beauty of the world and realize that no religion provides all the answers.

I ask you this? What if you are wrong believing in a god? Then you have wasted your whole life on this beautiful earth believing in and devoting your whole life to something that doesn't exist. If I am wrong about being an atheist, at least I got to enjoy paradise while here on earth!

Slightly more than half of all marriages end in divorce.

Most divorced people re-marry and divorce again.

This pattern leaves more than 75% of all children being born in America without ever having a chance at knowing what "traditional family values" really means.

How will gay marriages being legally recognized by the state they live in do more harm to traditional family values than the things straight people are already doing to wreck it?

Is there any evidence that people actually believe marriage is a holy union or is that just an excuse to back up their bigotry and hatred of something they don't understand?

Islam was founded as militant/religious organisation that was not centered on universal moral values but rather the manipulation of one person and his God complex, how can this be divine and inspired when all religion directs mankind towards love. salvation, peace, and not violence.
