ive been challenged as a Christian that the only reason i dismiss evolution is because i believe the bible to be true and wont examine the evidence of evolution.. well here i am. is there a missing link that connects humans back to a common ancestor to monkeys ?

when i studied evolution in school the missing links were "Lucy" and "Neanderthal man" and others that were exposed as absurd and just plain lies.. why should i take the next missing link seriously ? please show me the missing link that gives you faith in the fossil record.. thanks

If there are a limited number of people who will go heaven, Then do you consider it fair for God to create so many others when it was predestined that they were not heaven to be bound? Does this totaly negate free will? And how is it a huge loss to satan when he will eventually get the majority of the people? No offence intended, just looking for quality answers.

Some countries allow anulment of marriage but not on divorce. We know that the policy of the state on divorce/anulment was greatly influnced by the church. Spiritually speaking, what is the difference between this two?

Many of you know me for my acerbic, sardonic diatribes upon almost everyone and everything on this site. To you I offer the following olive branch.

Even the greatest General when faced with proof that his brilliant battle tactics are failing and his charges are suffering causalities from his strategy, is willing to entertain suggestions to alter his battle plans. Thus it is in the spiritual arena. I, self appointed Four Star General michael s, have for far too long pursued a battle plan of intolerance, vicious name calling, voracious caustic attacks on my enemies: whomever I thought was not measuring up to MY high standards of YHVH’s righteousness. I was wrong to do to so. Know that I was not following orders from High Command, but was attempting to wage solo war on all ‘infidels’ in my own strength, power and all the mental ammunition I could muster. For obvious reasons, my plot to overthrow the kingdom of darkness failed and it is time to render assistance to all

If the tribulation Lasts exactly 7 years, which it does right?

And if the rapture happens after the Tribulation, Then As soon as the Antichrist signs the peace treaty, We know the Tribulation has begun. We can simply add 7 years from that date to get the rapture. Right to the Minute. But we dont know the day nor hour?

Nobody knows the day nor hour, So It simply cant be post, now?

Christians today say that if your not saved you will go to hell, but the whole concept of Christ and "being saved" wasnt invented until about 2000 years ago - so did everyone before that die and go to hell? If so, why would God do that to his children? Why didnt he send Jesus earlier to them? Thats billions of people who weren't saved and now are burning in hell for all eternity...thats not fair, kinda mean actually....

I am a spiritual person. A christian. I have lucid dreams from time to time with rich spiritual meaning and i am usually able to interpret, but this latest one has me perplexed:

It is a bright sunny day. Not one cloud. The moon is out and full but closer to the earth than i have ever seen it. In between the moon and the earth there is a small brown /red planet that sparks and then explodes and metoers are inevitably going to pelt the earth. My mother in law and I get in the backseat of a black truck and head west /uphill towards my grandmothers house.

Then i wake up. Shaken on the inside and sweating.

I had nothing unusual to eat the night before and no i am not on drugs.

Anyone? Anyone?

My theory is that Eden was earth--paradise before sin. The Tree of Good/Bad (life--Giver) was God. Who else would know everything, but God. The life(fruit) was humanity. When Eve took the fruit from the tree, I think it means that she "seperated" man from God by being their own masters. I believe the prophets wrote and spoke in Metaphor for things of the past and future they didn't see in their life. The apostles witnessed christ--not a metaphor [Jesus said he was the vine (tree) and we are the branches (fruit)] What do you think???

This is question Twenty One in my ongoing quest to see how much the general populus understands about GOD, the Bible, and the Religions that follow them.

21. What is Grace?

Grace, grace, grace. Everybody's talking about grace. According to the Scriptures and many followers of modern Christianity, Grace is the reward of those that accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Well, that's cool and all, but what exactally IS grace. On the many different occasions when I have heard others speak of Grace, I heard many different answers (somesounded delicious!), but surely only one or two could be correct AND accurate, right??

Well, let's see what you think! Don't be basful, there's plenty of room for answers and no character limit!

No explanations please. Though, Others - you may specify what your beliefs are (for example: "O - Hindu" would be a reasonable response).

And please, no wagering on the results.....

I have read the Quran thoroughly many times and I have found many verses that call for peace with non-muslims. I have also found many verses that call for war with non-muslims. I asked many Muslim scholars who said that the latter ones (that call for war) are only applicable in case of self-defence. However, in many of those latter verses, I could not find anything that limit the war to people who attack Muslims.

Does anyone know when should Muslim call for peace and when should they call for war? and what should be applicable in nowadays? Also, if teh verses that call for war are only applicable in case of self defence on Muslim state, how can we define a muslim state? is it any state with its majority are Muslims?

I lost my faith recently, is there any way i can restore it?

Perhaps I should of rephrased my question. It seems when I was younger I always used to make an active effort to try to talk to God and for him to be a part of life.
Recently (around the age of 19 I’m 25 now) I feel that I have lost my faith.
Has anyone out there experienced this before, and if so, what did you do to help restore your faith?
