There is no limit. God is infinite and so are we when we reunite with our source upon death.
Free Will is all we have - in fact it is our will that helps guide the universal energy in our own lives. The things we do and the things we say attract more of the same into our lives.
Anyone who is suddenly saddled with the majority of Earth's population would lose because it would be an organizational nightmare. Fortunately for him there is no physical place called hell and there is not devil waiting for all of the unfaithful.
Satan, the Enemy, is a state of mind. There is nothing to fear but fear itself is very true, because fear begets fear, guilt begets guilt, intolerance begets intolerance. The enemy is the negative emotions that come with this existence and what it does is rob us of our time on earth - when we are consumed with doubt, resentment, rage, hate, we are not focused on our life purpose and lessons - and keeps us from finding our way home when we die.
Peace!

Free Will is never negated. The idea is that the gates of Heaven are only open to those who are willing to accept the gift of grace by faith. If you reject that or just decide not to choose you will be cast to Hell. This is a conscious choice. Seeing as God is all knowing, He realizes what people will choose Him and what people will refuse to believe or to believe in anything. This number has been sealed unbeknown-st to us. There is a reason for that. It is information that only God need know.

The Bible teaches that all those who put their faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in God’s presence. In John 12:26, Jesus says that if anyone follows Him (not just a certain number), then where He is they will be also. Two chapters later in John 14:2-3 Jesus talks again of us being with Him in His Father’s house. And in Revelation chapter 7 verse 9, John speaks of seeing a great multitude which no one could number (more than 144,000) before the Lamb, worshipping. The only 144,000 mentioned in Revelation are in chapters 7 and 14, and they are Jews, 12,000 from each tribe.

There is no limitation.
Many belive that the 144,000 chosen ones are the only ones that will entere heaven's gate. This is incorrect, the 144,000 are the jewish that will be saved, after the Great Tribulation.
the Jews are the chosen people of God. The Bible says Jesus came to his people, (the Jews) and they did not receive him, yet we the non- jewish or gentiles did recieve him and now with Christ we have everlasting life.

God does not limit the number of people going to heaven. Free Will is real.

I don't believe in hell or Satan, but I was a Christian for years, so I think I can make one point here...
Satan doesn't "get" anything. The idea is that he is punished along with the people. He doesn't get to enjoy it. He's not trying to win more people so that they go to hell, he's trying to find a way to take over heaven.
That's the gist of it.

I don't believe that there is a limit to the # of people that get to go to heaven, if you want to trust God than do it. I think its our choice to believe in the messiah or not.
