THAT NOT HAPPENING

Opposites attract. Seriously, it only appears that way sometimes. My brother says he likes "ugly" women so his friends don't want them (most of the time I think he's joking but there might be something to that theory). I believe most people are in a relationship because of who the other person is not because of what they look like.

Compensation. Sometimes we feel we are lacking in certain areas and we seek things outside of ourselves to validate or enhance our self-worth. And unattractive person may be weary of growing up living unattactive and may seek a 'balancing' in their life. So to enhance their unattactiveness(if there is such a word) they seek someone to 'attract' positive attention to themselves. However, attractive people tend to know that they are attractive and seek the admonition that they are 'all that'. And who do you think is the best candidate? Yes, someone that they feel is 'lesser than'. After all, an attactive person would only take so much and then tell them it is over. But an unattactive person would weather the storm more because they want to hold on to them.

What you deem unattractive and ugly isn't necessarily what someone else would agree with. I also think that if a person truly falls in love, it's for the whole package, not just the outside.

Well, for me I look at personallity and people's hearts. If this medi-okra looking guy is everything I look for by personallity or how he treats me...It brings the handsome out in him. B/c usually the attractive guys are conceded or act like they are God's gift to women, but really all they care about are themselves. Guys with a big ego are ugly in my eyes. Mostly they view or judge others by looks.

u know i feel the same way and i have no idea why that happens.some of the best looking men i have met are married to the most ordinary women and visa versa'.i think its the sub conscious mind attracting us to opposites.for a ordinary looking person,he or she ends up with a trophy spouse and for the good looking ones its prob as feeling of superiority/they feel they will be worshipped.

The scientific explanation is simple, opposites attract. For example, negative and positive charges attract. It is just a way of life. The exception, of course, are famous people, because you never see unnattractive people in the spotlight ;)

Your question in partly invalid... At least frrom my point of veiw. I don't think that happens, or at least I havent seen it.. But my answer is that love knows no bounds. As long as they are happy about what they chose, it doesnt really matter, does it?
