Some Baptist churches do, most Brethren, Mennonite, some presbyterian,
(but not all)

(I dont agree with this...there would of been dancing at the wedding at Cana and Jesus was there!)
But I still respect whatever Church I attend.

Some protestant faiths do, but not the majority. There are some Christian colleges in which the students sign a contract that they won't dance. Again, this is a minority and I'm not sure if a part of any denominations creed. It is just a unique practice to some faiths.

It may be untrue but the rumor is that irish dancing arose from restrictions on dancing. From a window a woman would like perfectly normal, but her feet would be like Lord o the Dance!

traditionally when you hear of a religion or denomination you can think Southern Baptist...somewhere in the old testament i think Queeen of Sheeba orchestrated some dance to send men into a orgiatic frenzy is where the fear was initiated i believe..what i think is important is....to me dance is one of the oldest ways our bodies know how to connect with our spirit...personally music is a transport designed to make us pray meditate or dance that is a gift from the Creator...but Southern Baptist are really more concerned with young people and them touching one another to the beat of the devil...its a motivation thing to me if your reason to dance is to excite you or someone around you sexually thats not dancing its foreplay or seduction...dancing is a celebration of the human experience ..not a crime :)

Why worry about denominations? King David sang and danced before the Lord... If it was good enough for David when he worshiped God it should be ok for us also.
