I will be moving into a older home pretty soon. A lady who lived in the house for 30 years died in that home. Do you think that the house is haunted?

Please...only those that believe in ghosts answer this.

Lots of people die in their homes. You'll be fine.

Interesting. I recently just moved from a house where the previous owner had passed way after a long time there, and the though did cross my mind that her spirit might still be hovering around. Whenever I couldn't find something (keys, remote control, purse) I would stand in the middle of the living room and announce "Evelyn! Stop playing around and give me back my (whatever)!" And of course, I would always find what I was looking for shortly thereafter. Now, I don't really believe that Evelyn's spirit dug the remote out of the couch cushions or returned my keys from the 12th dimension, but it was a fun little game and helped me feel like I was in control of things. And late at night when it was dark outside and the wind was blowing, it was then easy to convince myself that I had a friendly little spirit watching over me. Did I really have a ghost? Probably not (and you probably won't either.) Did I use the imagined memory of a woman I had never met to help me feel safe in my very first house? Yeah. God bless you Evelyn, and thank you. As for you, you'll be fine. I won't say "Don't let you imagination run away with you." but if it does, at least let it run in a constructive direction. Good Luck to you!!

You said you only wanted those who believe in ghosts to answer this....well, I believe that there are things people which people refer to as ghosts, but in actuality they are demonic spirits who have no semblance of the person they may be attributed to. From a biblical standpoint, there simply is no foundation for believing a person who dies can still hang around their own "haunts" (pun intended!) as a spirit body. Check out Hebrews 9:27 and Luke 16:19-31. As others have suggested, I would just go in there with a bottle of olive oil and anoint and pray over all the rooms of the house and the entire property. Dedicate that house to God...you'll be alright!

Did she die quietly and peacefully? If she died a natural death, you should be fine. If she was brutally murdered, I hope you got a good deal. :) Just kidding. I think you should be fine.

Not all ghost or hauntings are a bad thing. My Grandfather died while visiting us when I was a kid. After that, strange things happened in the house all the time, but we just felt more safe than before because we felt that Grandpa was looking out for us.

Just because someone passed over in that house doesn't mean they linger there. You will have to wait till you are in the house to find out. I live in a house were 2 people have passed. I haven't seen either but I have had some interesting experiences here. I don't think it is the house though. Just be open minded and not fearful.

Does it matter? There are few places on the planet where we have not lived and died. She might watch you going through the same stages birth/deaths, loss/gain as she did. Passing on will bring closure and distance. Think of yourself as protected and feel lucky to have a home that was loved for so long.

Why you only want those who believe in Ghosts to answer this, sounds like the blind leading the blind answer you will get. Let me share something with you if you don't mind. The Bible says that all who are dead are resting in the ground until Jesus returns a second time around, however, the Bible also speaks of fallen angels who came to earth with Satan who can change for and look like a dead person, we should guard our minds and hearts with truth and the sure word of God which is the Bible. Please do not allow the false beliefs to lead you instead of the truth no matter how telling they are. Jesus can protect you if you trust in Him, that's His promise to us and if we don't believe him we are saying He is a liar.

are you any religion? i notice you stuck this in the religion category. people that believe in God shouldn't believe in ghosts. God is above all and can handle all. i'd pray about it. there is no such thing as a haunted house unless the people were satanists or you believe in ghosts enough to freak you out. there is nothing to worry about.

If she died peaceful she has crossed over. If not, make her a corner and let her know that is her place. A chair, a cup, maybe a flower. Something that she will be found of. Don't let anyone sit in the chair.

Don't worry, have some Christian friends pray over the house, but people die all the time and there are not demonic problems.

I would think it would depend on the kind of person the lady was in life, and how she died.
