I am trying to think of a speech for promoting a car manufacturer, and i ended up with this in English:

"Over the decades, cars of (company xxx) have always showcased impressive performance characteristics and outstanding reliability. Award winning safety designs have proven the cars' worth to the people."

Please translate the above paragraph :-)

My parents are Ukrainian, but I was born in the United States. They talked to me in Ukrainian until I started kindergarten, then I learned English and now it's like all that I talk. I Barely ever talk in Ukrainian and it's sad cause I'm losing the culture :[

Wheelock's Latin translates "per" as "through" (from which we get words like permeable). But in English, the word is usually associated with a rate: 50 miles per hour, or 30 per cent ( per centum in Latin.) It seems the meaning would be " for every". You travel 50 miles for every hour elapsed, or you select 30 things for every 100 things. Was this a later meaning in Latin? Or does the english meaning have a different origin?

Existen ilusionistas que presentan actos de magia en los cuales una persona (en ocasiones una linda edacan), es "decapitada", en una guillotina. Son trucos bastante elaborados y en muchos casos, muy buenos. Me gustaría saber si existen algunas otras ilusiones dentro del terreno de la magia, que involucren la horca ..., creo haber visto en una ocasion un acto de escapismo de un hombre que es colgado completamente del cuello en presencia de todos para que finalmente se libere él solo.

Pero me gustaria saber si hay mas trucos o ilusiones de la horca.
