The best way to improve your "oral English" would be to talk with people. Smart people. Smart as in not saying "like" every 3 words and being able to use a good range of words.

David,
Practice, practice, listen and speak, read and write and you'll get it. Your sentences are concise so you have had formal schooling in English. How about taking a linguistics class? You will learn how to make each of the English sounds and their relation to other sounds. Dialectal integration and social context or how we use language when speaking to others may also be introduced. Good luck. English is a fun language, and full of idiomatic uses. Again, listen and mimic, that is how you learned your first language. Good-luck!

Hang out here -- we'll help -- just tell us you need help when you ask a question. That was very well written. I'm impressed. Where are you from??? We have (well, my son has) a friend who is of Chinese descent and came here 4 years ago and he amazes me at how well he speaks now. He said "thanks to good friends" and I couldn't even imagine learning Chinese!!
