You don't. You would respond with jejeje which is equivalent to lol in Spanish. Lol is an English slang term therefore it does not exist.

"es lo que es" would work, but the translation doesn't have the same meaning... it would be like saying "yesterday is another yesterday" in english, for example.
ie, It sounds like it makes sense, but it really doesn't mean anything.
