I mean really...up above your answer box is this cute little green box with a little green abc with a check under it...Next to that box is a nifty little phrase saying 'Check Spelling'. I mean really, is it that hard to click on and wait a few seconds while it checks your spelling? Why oh why must we endure such lazy grammar???

I have a rather stupid argument going on that I'd like to end once and for all. How do you pronounce 'Carlotta' in Spanish? I say just as it's spelled, the other person says you roll the 'R.' I was taught that only the double 'R' is rolled. A native speaker would be great, so then this stupidity can end.

Deep in the Pacific Ocean there was a big island. Here lives a huge, gregarious, monster-looking creature. He lives by himself on this island and is one- of a kind. He’s brown, scaly and ferrous. Anyone who saw this creature would be scared instantly. This is why he lives alone on his island with no other people or beings surrounding him. There are only a few people who have ever seen this creature. It was a sailor and his crew who were lost at sea. Once they had spotted land the crew rejoiced. They went to explore hoping to find riches. What they were about to find was unforgettable. Each member of the crew searched and searched through forests and jungles. They came across a giant mountain. The sailor thought to himself, " There has to be riches up here" As the crew began to walk up the mountain there was a huge earthquake. A few of the crew members fell to the ground. The sailor directed that everyone get back to their ship. The mountain wasn’t a mountain after all it was some type of creature that practically jumped into the water! The water began to rise greatly, enough to carry them all the back to their village. Here the water rose a couple feet and after awhile it receded. The sailors knew now why their was high tide and low tide and spread their knowledge to everyone in their village.
