Well, first of all, I would suggest going to your states interpreting service web site. Ohio has OCRID.org
(ohio chapter of registered interpreters for the deaf)
Check your state for one. They usually list deaf events in the area. Another suggestion would be to try searching deaf coffee chat on yahoo. They have a nation wide site that lists coffee houses that have a deaf chat. It lists by state and city, then it gives info about date and time. Then from going to those events, you can usually find out about other deaf events.

At my school, there are many deaf people. I just talk to them.
