what does the word:
La Alfrombra
mean in Spanish? i think it has something to do with things in a house. im not sure, please help. :]

I'm looking for a tape, DVD or on-line course that he can use to better his understanding of the English language. I'm not familiar with his country, to know if its native language is close to another so that he can use a more well know dialect. I'm not trying to lump people from that region together but i know that some languages are similar. So if someone knows that say, Tiawan is close. I can find tapes ect from there. I just cant find anything from Mayanmar.

And currently what is the standard dialect of Italy? How is the Sicilian dialect different from the Roman or Tuscan dialect? For example, how would you say the word "twenty" in those three dialects? Before the Spanish dominated Italy in the 16th century did Italian sound a lot different? Because today Italian sounds a lot like Spanish. To address "mister and "mrs." in Italian was it always "Signore" and "Signora"? Or did that come after the Spanish domination? Schools in the U.S. that teach Italian as a foreign language which dialect do they usually teach?

I was wondering if I wrote all of these sentences correctly. I'm supposed to be describing my city (I’m actually answering questions like "does your city have a zoo?" " What is it like?" Questions like that. I'm wondering if the sentences make sense, if the verbs/adjectives are used correctly with the right grammer, ect)

1. El centro de mi ciudad es muy grande. Todavía hay negocios y mucha actividad allí.
2. Los almacenes principales de mi ciudad son Macy’s, JCpenny y Nordstrom. Se encuentran en centros comerciales.
3. Mi ciudad tiene algunos mercados al aire libre. Las personas venden alimento, las flores y otras cosas en el mercado.
4. Hay más de cien escuelas en mi ciudad. Algunas escuelas son muy pequeñas y algunos son grandes.
5. Mi ciudad tiene un zoológico. Hay muchos animales en el zoo. Muchos niños vienen cada día. Mi ciudad tiene un jardín botánico hermoso. Mi ciudad tiene muchos parques grandes. Los parques tienen muchos árboles.

I am not good at at writing Chinese perfectly so i think Japanese will help in that regard even though i have to learn Hiragana and Katakana.Learning japanese Kanji(chinese characters) will help me understand Chinese writing even though the words are different. LOl tell me what you think.
