ok, i will show you the conjugation rules and also how to conjugate the verbs that you've mentioned.
is using= está usando
the ING ending is commonly the -NDO ending in spanish.
corriENDO ( running), saltANDO(jumping), viviENDO(living)
there's a little problem with were played, were, could be used with (tu,vosotros,nosotros and ellos, so depending of the person it would be in plural or in singular.)
were played ( YOU-tu) =fuiste jugado
were played( You-vosotros/vosotras) Fuisteis jugados/jugadas
were played (We- nosotros/nosotras)
Fuimos jugados/jugadas
were played ( they- ellos/ellas)
Fueron jugados/jugadas
TO Be conjugation ( it's an irregular verb and in spanish it can be SER or ESTAR)
SER (to be, but used when describing something)
Yo- Soy
Tu-eres
El/ella- es
nosotros/nosotras- somos
vosotros/vosotras-sois
Ellos/ellas- son
ex:
Yo soy alto- I am tall
Tu eres un profesor- you're a teacher
Nosotros somos grandes- We are big
ESTAR (to be, but used when expressing the location or the state)
