I mean really...up above your answer box is this cute little green box with a little green abc with a check under it...Next to that box is a nifty little phrase saying 'Check Spelling'. I mean really, is it that hard to click on and wait a few seconds while it checks your spelling? Why oh why must we endure such lazy grammar???

I never use the wretched thing as it keeps telling me to spell words like "colour", "metre", "centre", "travelling" and so on as "color", "meter", "center" "traveling", etc

I'm sure they'll begin to use it more often once people such as yourself notice the huge search for questions box near the top of the screen and realize it's completely unnecessary to ask a question and state an opinion for something that is being asked more times than stars will ever twinkle in the sky.

The shorthand some people use drives me wacky. Grammar can be forgivable depending on geography but correct spelling is just a click away.

I will defend some people on this issue because it's late at night (midnight here). Late nighters are tired and don't care, don't reread what they typed, and many times the "check spelling" doesn't work. The thing spins but rarely checks my words. And then there are the people that aren't well educated.

A agree with you on this one, more people get lazy and just doesn't feel like it. I do spell check all the time.

yes mam i do. i try to check my spelling all the time but sometimes i forget.but most of the time it is very helpful when you are like me and cant spell worth a lick

I'm glad you asked that question, because you don't have that option when you add details adding to a question you have first asked . only when you first ask the question.

if you are concious about your spelling, don't know the difference betweeen spelling and grammar or don't know how to spell !!! lol
