i dont know a whole lot of spanish but i do know what it means, so what would be a good way to respond if i am not doing so good?

Am I the only one who read your question? "Bien, gracias" means good, thank you. To answer your question, "Asi, asi", means "So so." "Estoy mala," means I am bad. "No estoy bien," means not good.

Estoy triste = I am sad.
Estoy cansado = I am tired.
Estoy agotado = I am exhaused.
Estoy asi-asi = So-so..
No estoy bien = I am not well.

if you are not doing so good you would answer

No tan bien. (not so good)

or

así, así (so, so)

or

pasándola = (like saying surviving)
