I was at a party this weekend and I met a guy and talked to him for a while, then after a while he kissed me really aggressively. I didnt like him like that and I thought it was kind of rude. I pulled away and turned my head the other way but he kept trying to kiss me. I didnt want to be rude and just run away because he was a pretty nice guy, so I didnt know what to do. I went into another room and a few minutes later he sat down next to me and we talked a little more and he tried to kiss me again. then I got up and told one of my friends to get me away from him, and we left the party a little bit after that. What do you think I should have done? Should I have told him to stop? I didn't want to make him feel bad because I was kind of flirting with him and maybe he thought I liked him. Should I have just let him kiss me?

I am sick and tired of transporting my aunts around and frankly I wish they would stop asking me to. I know it sounds selfish and in some ways it is, but I have had enough. I understand that they don’t have any transportation but it’s not my problem. They have children of their own and grandchildren who either aren’t able to do anything for them (due to drug addictions and incarceration), or refuse to do anything. It’s just not fair and I know life’s not fair, but I shouldn’t have to pick-up their slack. I have a husband and a life of my own. When the holidays roll around I am EXPECTED to pick-up my aunts and my grandmother, transport them and all of the large quantities of food they prepared to my aunt’s house. So if I don’t show up they don’t have a ride or they have to hustle up a ride which is hard for them to do because hardly any of my immediate family has a car. My uncle lives a two hours away and he does have a car but you can never count on him showing up.

I am meeting my boyfriend's relatives for the first time. We are flying to California from Connecticut where we live. I would like to buy them a really nice hostess gift since we will be spending Christmas with them. What would really impress them? I don't know alot about their decorating taste.

I have a friend at school who constantly makes nasty remarks, mocks me and others and generally says things that make you feel like crap. She will make fun of peoples names, clothes, anything really. She is very judgmental and whines and makes nasty remarks about other people behind there backs. She also boasts about everything and will say things like "haha you lost" or "haha you messed it up." Me and my friend have both politely told her that she needs to stop doing this because we're sick of it and we would like her to treat us with the same respect we treat her with. Both times i have said something to her she has started crying and saying that i am full of crap and denies ever saying anything mean or nasty about anyone.

She also asks for presents and gifts and invitesherself/assumes she's comeing to birthday partys etc.

What am i supposed to say/do to make this stop?

She told us that she bought herself her Christmas gift. $700 worth of landscaping, much of it paid for with cash and gift cards that she'd begged for on her birthday earlier this month.

Now she's saying that because of this, she can't afford any gifts except for those for our three youngest cousins. (My cousins range in age from 14 to my 33-year-old self.) The rest of us are "too old" to have any kind of presents anyway. Yet those of us who are "too old" have gotten her the gift cards she begged for, at least $10 or $25 worth.

She also tried getting us to go to a poor neighbor's house on Christmas and give them stuff in person, which several of us thought would embarrass them, because she says we were never taught about charity. Our parents beg to differ, and so does the guy at H&R Block when he does my tax write-offs.

So, what is the right response to my grandmother when I see her? Because I'd like to organize a game of rugby on her new lawn, with cleats.

I think he does, all the time. "If you do this you might be hired for job x...", "can you hook me up with person x, whom you know, and we can talk about future careers for you..."
It sounds so obviously blackmail- mild maybe- but still I will do x if you do y. Sometimes more subtle, but still obvious. He is so pushy, so ambitious, that I am nothing but a pawn to him. I have to tell him constantly about my business contacts to keep in the game and he is "nice" because he thinks I can help him, that I can delve into my list of contacts somehow. I don't know if I would last if I didn't have a good network. It really upsets me. This is the same boss who dumped on my at the Xmas party. Same aggressive guy. I am 32 in April and he is only 34. He is some whiz kid I guess who fast-tracked his way to where he is now. He was a whiz with figures you see. Great with finance and accounting and it was his ticket.

Ok, 3 years ago I got hurt at work, I had a couple back surgeries, and I am still dealing with a great deal of back pain. I had an appartment with my boyfried, he was not working. I was working about 90 hours per week, to try to pay bills, well when I got hurt, I went on workers copt, I have been out of work since March of 2005. My boyfriend's grandmom hepled paid the rent, which was only right, since he was sitting around doing nothing all day long. So she paid the rent about 8 times for him. Now my boyfried and I are staying with his grandmother for the time being. I went to court for my settlement, which I will be getting the check for in the next few days. Now his grandmother wants $12,000 plus dollars from me, because she's paying the storage fee and wants the rent which she has paid, now I have things I need to do, like pay my back bills, and put my self in pilot school and all, I will have enough money to do all this, but I feel I do not owe her shyt, what would you do?

I have to get up in front of some people and pretend to be proud of some work I did, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to fake it. The confusing thing is that usually people will either have some stupid smile on their face, or they'll just look uncomfortably serious. Just looking for helpful tips so I can wing it.

2 years ago I was an exchange student in another country. For the first 5 months I lived with a widow and her daughter. I must be honest an say she was good to me and that she is a good person. I was still very much emotinally messed up back then.I can also say I was still immature and very unhappy at the time.I never wanted to admit to myself or others I wanted to go there just to escape from home and not relly to learn the language.I am ready to admit it now to whoever needed and I am ready to apologize to her. Basically,I asked my agency to find me a new host family and I had no reason to do it.I told the house was too cold or something, but in fact the whole problem was in my head.I was also avoiding her for the last 2 days and I could see she was hurt, but I left without saying goodbye and she wasn`t there when I was leaving.Sometime later I saw her on the street and said hello, but she just passed me by.I feel like trash and I can`t forgive myself. I feel I need to apologize, but how?

I was queued up in a local shop the other day. The woman who was being served (and it took forever) was letting her kids run riot - 3 of them running round and round screaming. One of them used to hit me every time he ran past. I sort of snapped and in a raised voice said 'That's enough - could you please stop running round and grabbing me as it's really annoying !' The place went silent and everyone looked at me as if I was Satan - but I'd had enough and the kids had totally ignored their mother when she asked them one time to stop. Was I totally wrong to do this?

I am not a drinker, but have a "dinner and drinks" meeting at a fine restaurant here in Las Vegas. Is it ok to just drink water, or is there some other beverage that is more "acceptable" for non drinkers? I don't want to look foolish. This is my first time in this situation.
