What is an appropriate Christmas tip / bonus for a gardener?

He comes weekly, is reliable and timely. He has an employee that comes with him too.

You don't mention what you pay him in the first place. How about 1/2 a months salary (if you can afford it) or if you can't afford it, how about and extra day's pay and a plate of cookies?
