We see all the time notices from people that ask "why was my question (or answer) deleted"? Well I questioned a deletion and received a response back that gave several examples of why my answer may have been deleted. Since I don't write nasty responses I was wondering. I was informed that certain things are considered chatting and un-appropriate. I agree that people should not be asking personal questions like "how old are you"? But the last one listed said you can't ask "do you like cake"? Does this have a secret meaning that I do not understand? To me it seems like a harmless question, but am I missing something?

She as helped me above and beyond my expectations. She calls me back if i call her. and she even called me in the hospital when i had leg surgery. and said on my voicemail that she was thinking of me and hope i am feeling ok. She doesnt even need to do that but she does. she always goe out of her way to help me.
i have been seeing her for 3 months and i was going to give her a card saying thanks but then i thought maybe i should tell her in person...
any ideas on what i should do....and then what i should say.

or maybe i can call her voicemail before christmas, saying that i appreciate all her help, etc? and than say i hope you enjoy you holiday.

i dont know. i just think she should know that she is so good at what she does and i think she deserves a thank you.

:) opinions please...10 points for best answer!

This summer I worked in a store with 5 more coworkers. I was getting along with all of them and now I want to send them Christmas cards, but the problem is that one of them is Muslim. I know Muslims don't celebrate Christmas, but still I don't think it's OK to send greetings to everybody except for him. How would you handle this?

I've got this newcoworker that I'm supposed to train and he complains too much, im losing it.?
I'm not really into training, but I am required at my job to train some people that are new. I think I explain things as clear as I can, and I have patience. But there is this one guy at work that I have sat with for an hour the past 3 days to show him things on the computer and he constantly complains and doesn't like computer and how they work, and he doesn't like doing things my way and tried to always cut corners. I'm trying to be patient but I just get quiet when he says some smart **** remarks. I really like my job and I haven't been here long and all this pressure is starting to get to me because I don't want my boss to feel like I'm a failure. I have soo many jobs that I'm juggling right now that it can be overwhelming at times. And I don't want to tell my boss I can't handle it because I'm afraid they may let me go if they find out I'm getting stressed from all this pressure. I am the only one on my team that knows all the little details of what we do, its not easy, help!

What can I do about someone taking the parking space outside of my house? I've lived here for almost 8 years. My neighbors have just moved here and invite people to their house all the time. People are always taking my parking space and are rude about moving. They're not the highest class of people and their cars have windows missing and sometimes their cars are unable to move from in front of my house because they need fixed. It's really annoying as I work swing shift. I could come home at 3pm, 11pm, or 7 am and never have a parking space. It's really getting on my nerves since it's winter/cold, I'm pregnant, and I have to walk 25 feet down an icy sidewalk to get to my house. Is there any law that says that I have the right the space in front of my house? Also, their excuse for taking my spot is someone has taken theirs (which is NOT my problem).

I have this wierd thing that I like to do. In the summer at night, I go swimming naked in my pool at home. I do it when the moon is new so that I am not "on the spot light". Do any of you do the same thing. If not, I would really recommend it becuase it feels so good to just let go and swim naked. My sister did that once with her fiance. It sounds so nice. What do you think?

Also, with hugging, is it true that if same-gendered people hug, it's supposed to be criss crossed, & with male hugging female, female is supposed to have her arms around the guy's neck while the guy has his arms around her waist? That's what I was always taught. Just like they say you should always shake hands with your right hand & wear your watch on your left wrist.

This morning I went to Circle K to break a $100 bill. The clerk told me that I should probably buy an item so he could break it, though. I bought myself a water, and when I went back up to pay, I said, "Merry Christmas" and I gave him $5. He looked at the bill, however, and said, "I don't need that," and then he pushed it across the counter at me.

Did I do something wrong? Why did he reject it in this manner? I went in happy, and I had just gotten a bonus. I was in a sharing mood, and I just wanted to share my luck...

We are going to dinner with my husband's boss tonight. His boss has given my husband a truly wonderful bonus this year and I am wondering when is the best time to say thank you and how to say thank you during the meal? Thank you all for your answers.

P.S. There will be another co-worker there who got the same bonus as my husband.

People talk so loudly in libraries nowadays, even the librarians! I remember when I was a kid (and I'm not that old) we were supposed to be quiet in libraries, and the librarians would "shh" us if we got too loud.

Why do they curse. Why do that say things that is gross. Why do they say explicit things about sex and waste and things that are dirty and raunchy. Why do they say things racist. Comedians should say things that is appropriate for everything. Why should they say things so inappropriate. If you said anything similar that the comedian said to anyone, if one person gets angry or doesnt like it the comedian should not say those things. For example if you say something to ur parents or your teacher having anything to do with what they said and they dont like it they shouldnt say. Why do they do these things
