I've always been a type A personality, even at a young age. But, I think I really started to understand responsibility when I had my first job at 15. I had to manage my time and keep myself on task and things that come with having a job. It taught me a lot!

It was when I was about 11 yrs old. We had 4 kids in the family, and we lived with my grandparents after my parents got divorced. Both grandparents worked, as did my mom, so we walked 11/4 miles to school, then back home. Then we did any housecleaning, and my older sis(1yr older than me) would get supper started. Then after supper, we got kitchen duty...wash dishes, sweep up the floor, etc.,, then homework, and finally...an hour or so of tv time. On the weekends, I got to mow the grass, 31/2 acres with a pushmower., and ride along to the town dump, and I became a mom at age 16, so it seems like I've been responsible FOREVER!....=)

Responsible for what exactly?
Eating the last of the sweets or possibly getting a girl pregnant?
I have found that accepting responsibility is a gradual process that some people never do get the hang of

There are different levels of responsibility. Very young children can be responsible to keep their rooms clean, for example, while many adults haven't yet learned to be responsible with money or their health.

As soon as I grow more sensible, I learn to be responsible. At around 10 years old
