You can say, "I'm so sorry that loving & caring for my children means I'm lazy. You should try it some time."

I wouldn't even comeback with anything. That person obviously doesn't understand what it's like to have children, and they don't know anything about the arrangement you have in your marriage. My parents both agreed that they didn't want us raised in day care, not that there's anything wrong with day care, but my mom wanted to be a part of it all and be home with us. There's nothing wrong with being a stay at home mom. It's your job to make the best decision for your kids, and if you are fortunate enough to be able to stay home with the kids and not have to work, embrace it and don't let others even comment on it.

I am a stay at home mommy too and I'm often exhausted. Right now I'm "resting" and chilling on Y/A after cooking dinner and did some dishes. It's 1:34 am and the dishes aren't done yet.
I often go to bed past midnight and coffee is one of my best friends so I don't fall asleep running errands and doing chores.

I've had other moms and other people asked me the annoying question "What do you do all day?" This is so offensive to me. Even the moms who used to stay at home have the audacity to ask me this question?

You say..being a mom is the most important thing and if it wasn't for A MOM that person you want a comeback for wouldn't be here.

Beg pardon, but it is the hardest job on the planet. . .
No pay, maybe 3 vacation days a year. . . on call 24/7people you must work your heart out to help, who eventually become known as superior, absolutely zero social regognition of your hard work. . .
It's a combination of being a doctor, a maid, a chauffer, a cook, a tutor, launderor, and handywoman. And probable some others I can't think of at the time. . .

Tell them to speak to you again after having a couple of kids. Better yet, ask them to babysit a few toddlers. They'll quickly see that being a Mom is not for the "lazy".

Don't bother with a comeback. Simply invite this person to spend the day with you so they can see first hand what you do.

Anyone moronic enough to think that it's a lazy option to be a full time mother isn't worth any kind of reply.

Don't worry about a comeback. Just feel sorry for them that they don't realize what a blessing it is to you and your family. In fact, you could say something like that, "It's a blessing to me and my family."

i am not sure what you might say to the person .
i will say to you that i am glad that you stay at home to raise the children . i need only look at the recent history to see that lack of a parent mostly a mother at home to raise the children is directly related to crime and the downfall of modern society.
