Here's a scenario follow up: I live in an apartment complex with a front parking lot (front and back rows) and another section of parking way in the back. A woman in my complex has a handicapped sticker but has only parked in 1 of 3 such designated spots less than 10% of the year I've lived there. Personally, I think that if she's so handicapped the State needs to give her a sticker, she should park there all the time. The problem is, she refuses to park in a handicapped spot and instead chooses to park in a normal spot all the time. It's only in the case that no front spots are open (and the only other option is parking way in the back) that she remembers she's handicapped and she parks there. It gets very annoying when I have to park in the back to unload groceries or carry my newborn to the house because someone can't park in a handicapped spot when they have the sticker. Am I wrong for feeling this way? If not, should I confront her, and what would be the best way to do so?

Anyone around in the 70's or earlier will remember this. You had to have a dime or else crawl under the stall. I was a young kid so I chose to go under. When did they start using them and why did they stop?

To give you some history... I have one daughter (4 year old ) and my husband and I have been trying to have more kids but are experiencing issues. Anyhow, my best friend had been married 9 years before they had twin boys a few months back. I've been getting a lot of crap from my husband's side of the family about having more kids to the point where I've been asked by my mother-in-law if I have a problem..anyways..I shared my concerns with my best friend thinking that since she's gone thru this for 9 years, she'd understand..I was at her 30th bday party and she and her husband made a really nasty comment "well, atleast we have two kids and they are both boys..you only have one and it's a girl". Joke or no joke but she knows how hurtful these kind of comments have made me in the past and she shouldn't hav edone that. it's been 5 days and I've been ignoring her calls and haven't returned her message...should I call her and give her a piece of my mind or should I give her a cold shoulder?q

I have been invited to a New Year's Eve party by my boyfriend's aunt whom I have never met and know little about. I will be staying for four days, all attending will be adults.

Also, I am a college student (21) and on somewhat of a budget ($50.00). Would a bottle of champagne and/or flowers be appropriate?

Thanks for sincere suggestions.

I don't know why, but my future mother-in-law keeps giving me gifts that I don't like and that don't even suit my style. Is it so difficult to understand the kind of things that I like to wear? Anyway...I was thinking of giving them away as I will never ever use them, but my mother keeps telling me it's not ok. My boyfriend would even like me to wear them on one occasion, so that she would understand I appreciate them. But I don't!!!

Case you don’t have any…
I have compiled a list of some that I think you might be able to keep!

10. Read less.
9. I want to gain weight. Put on at least 30 pounds.
8. Stop exercising. Waste of time.
7. Watch more TV. I've been missing some good stuff.
6. Procrastinate more.
5. Drink. Drink some more.
4. Start being superstitious.
3. Spend more time at work.
2. Stop bringing lunch from home: I should eat out more.

and last but not least...

1. Take up a new habit: maybe smoking!

for me, and no offence to the well behaved schoolkids, its when some of them muck about and talk aloud or shout on the bus that everybody takes notice and are of whom are annoyed about it. hitting each other, cursing things like that. also, i dislike people blairing out loud music from their mobile phones, as opposed to listening to their music in peace through wearing head or ear phones. as well as litter and rubbish on and around the seats, you'd expect people who eat, drink or do whatever on the bus, train to pick up and dispose their litter when they finish at the nearest bin and as they get off at the next stop. there was one time when i was on the bus and as i was sitting down, i could smell vomit from a few yards away and from a couple of seats. it was foul, as well as putrid and disgusting.

Perfect strangers ask me when I am planning a child, how often I visit my parents and other things I do not want to talk about. When I refuse to answer, they are offended and want to know why. I would appreciate any humorous or effective answers to change the subject to, for example, my hobbies.
