for me, and no offence to the well behaved schoolkids, its when some of them muck about and talk aloud or shout on the bus that everybody takes notice and are of whom are annoyed about it. hitting each other, cursing things like that. also, i dislike people blairing out loud music from their mobile phones, as opposed to listening to their music in peace through wearing head or ear phones. as well as litter and rubbish on and around the seats, you'd expect people who eat, drink or do whatever on the bus, train to pick up and dispose their litter when they finish at the nearest bin and as they get off at the next stop. there was one time when i was on the bus and as i was sitting down, i could smell vomit from a few yards away and from a couple of seats. it was foul, as well as putrid and disgusting.

I live and work in London so there is no way I would have a car and drive to work (even if I could afford to have one, which I cannot) So I am stuck with the disgrace of public transport. I travel on the 'southern railways' service. What drives me made is that the trains that run between 7.30 - 9.00 are late if not cancelled. It is very rarely they are on time!

By the time we get close to London Bride the train is packed and people are crammed in like sardines and of course you have the really annoying person screaming into the train "Can you move down please, other people have to get on" Maybe if this id!ots would move down 1 or 2 carriages they would find space and probably seats!

And if I hear one more sony walkman phone playing bad fuzzy music like an 80s longwave radio I will proceed to take their phone and shove it where the sun doesn't shine! Should we be sueing sony for making these phones?

I am not normally this grumpy, but 10 times I week I have to go through this and eventually it gets on your nerves!

I choose the seat on the top deck at the front, or if that is occupied, the seat immediately behind the staircase. On the lower deck the best seat for me is the one nearest the emergency door. No, I'm not scared the bus is going to crash. I've got long legs and this seat gives me the best legroom. In trains the best seat is the one at the end of the saloon opposite the wheelchair bay. Again, this has more legroom than the other seats.

the most irksome thing I find is people who occupy far more seat than they actually need by way of putting their feel up or a bags on the seat. I have no problem with this when there are not a lot of passengers, however on a crowded commuter bus it is always polite to offer up the extra seat, Remember that everybody else is tired and weary, It is even worse when people refuse to move or give up seats to accommodate the elderly or disabled.

I also take exception to those who treat the bus like their child's playground, for the safety of themselves and other passengers keep your children seated.

No fun driving either--you have to deal with people talking on cell phones while driving... people driving down the break down lanes when it is illegal, or people that barge on to the distressway instead of merging, or slow as molasses drivers, or ones that tailgate or pass u on the inside...
Feel blessed u don't have to drive in the snow, rain, or deal with the Curiosity factor when there are accidents. People always look to the "greener grass" but its appearance is deceiving....

People being rude and not considering others. This would involve yelling, running up and down the aisles, jostling others, yakking loudly on a cell phone, having an off-color conversation where everyone else can hear, dropping trash on the floor, etc.

People who shout into their mobiles instead of talking naturally. And teeenage girls who just don't draw breath whilst telling their friends, and the rest of the bus, all about last night. And that sshhtt sshhtt sshhtt noise from headphones. I remember when people dozed on the bus cos it was fairly quiet. I must be getting old!

All of the above, plus the bus being late, later, later still, then 5 mins early.

I hate it when someone sits next to me then proceeds to cough and choke up phlegm all the way to my stop. I pick up the train at the very first stop, so I have an empty train when I get on. Without fail, someone (a "hacker") gets on and ALWAYS sits next to me. I don't know if these people have tb or what the f**k the problem is, but WHY do they have to sit next to me all the time??
