I've been to parties where they said "BYOB (bring your own bottle) or bring a dish. But at this one, the hostess stopped the music halfway through the party & took up a collection for a friend. I'm broke myself right now & didn't think I should have been put on the spot like that. It made me very uncomfortable & we left soon after that.

I need a tactful way to get her to either stop talking or lower her voice. She is so much of a distraction, I can't concentrate. No use telling her boss because he's talks just as loud, just as much.

About what they see going on? Or feel is going on? Is it rude to report someone because you think they might be right, and don't want them to get credit?

My boss gave me a gift card which she handwrote "$20" on the card. But when I tried to use it, the actual value was only $5. Should I tell my boss that she gave me the wrong card or if the store short changed her $15 when she purchased the card?

Over the last 5 years or so, I've noticed people that live in my area are becoming more and more inconsiderate of others. Have we as a socitey lost our manners or any consideration for anyone but ourself? Are we so self absorbed in our own lives, we don't stop to think about the person we just cut off in traffic, because we are talking on our cell phone? or bugged in line at the grocery store. This is absolutely driving me nutts! Everytime I encounter a person I believe to behaving rudely, I will point it out. If my children are with me I make sure I explain to them the reason, I called that person out, and tell them specifically I don't want them to do that to people and it is rude.

My husband has a large family. He has about 10 aunts and uncles and they all have an average of 3 kids each. Usually what they do on Eid is give 5 dollars per child in the family but we can't afford to spend that much money. 5 dollars per person and there's at least 30 kids, including our own nieces and nephews! Would it be acceptable if me and my husband just gave out Eid cards for each family instead of money?

They were last seen attached to the bottom of a man on the escalators at Victoria station. Is there any way of getting them back? Without having to own up and have to admit to tooth tetanus? Plus the embarrasment of not having two sets of teeth, for such emergencies?
