Just say 'my husband died in a fatal car crash ... the memory is still painful to me and I'd prefer not to talk about it". If you're still pressed for info, repeat more firmly, that you don't talk about it and walk away from the person. Even a complete insensitive idiot will get the message.

Dear: It is obvious that she is not mentally on the level. Just be specific and say that it causes you much sorrow to think about your husband's accident and that you are trying to forget. Ask her to not talk about it anymore. That should do the trick. If she continues, then she is probably demented.
Take care,
Mr. M. on "some girl."

It's quite obvious that this person lacks class and tact. The best thing to do is say, "I'm sorry, but I'm not comfortable discussing this topic any further." Then, just walk away.

I suggest the follow:

"I am shocked and uncomfortable with your fervent and inappropriate interest in my personal life. I would like to bring to your attention, in the case that you may have been unaware, that my personal life doesn't directly involve you and therefore I see no need to share such private times with you."

If she persists:

"Your persistence is unhealthy and might be considered harassment. Therefore, I persist that you leave further inquiries into my personal life alone."

Good luck, frankly, she sounds like she has nothing of interest in her own like.

When someone asks something like that, a good strategy is to put it back on the person by saying, "My goodness, why would you ask such a personal question?"

Say, "I don't want to talk about it" and change the subject or walk away. If she continues to pepper you with questions, simply tell her to shut up. (Sometimes rudeness only understands rudeness)
