Don't feel bad sweetie. We have all fallen on hard times at one point or another. I myself have a ginormous family gathering on christmas day of about 40 people or so. The only person i give a gift to on xmas day is my grandma. My parents get theirs on xmas eve. Thats all I can afford, and what kind of person would get offended by that? Not someone that deserves a gift for sure. Youve done the best you can do and thats all that can be expected.

No, if that's all you can afford then it's better to do that than to get into debt over buying gifts. For your information, I bought only one gift for one of my family members also and that is why your question caught my eye. Even that one gift was very cheap because I can't afford to buy gifts for them all. There is alot of pressure to buy gifts and when one doesn't there is a feeling of guilt or that you let others down or something. I hope you have a happy new year.

i guess so,i'd feel bad too, well just make sure the others dont know u got only one gift, maybe u should pretend u didnt get anyone anything at all,i'd feel bad if someone in my family only got one gift for one person and i wasnt one of them, but who knows...maybe its not such a big deal since u didnt get more gifts cuz u couldnt afford it,and not for other reasons
good luck

Actually I don't think thats bad because maybe that was all that you could afford at this moment.Just explain to the other family members that your money is is a little shaky they should understand that. Dont beat yourself up about not being able to afford to buy all the gifts

Maybe some sort of gift for the entire family to enjoy..something like chocolates or a fruit basket..might have been a good idea. Or a board game for all ages. Our grown kids recapture their childhood playing board games with lots of laughter and fun. Mexican dominoes are all the rage these days..fun for kids and grownups to play together. It's just something to think about for next time you're too short of funds to buy for each family member. Meanwhile, don't beat yourself up over it. It's a small matter in the grand scheme of things.

Do not apologize to anyone for your financial position. If people are not willing to understand, then that is their sin that they will have to deal with. I am so sick of Christmas being about gift giving. i do not spend a single penny on gifts and i do not request any from anybody. Jesus loves you the way you are and no amount of gift giving or the lack of gift giving is going to change that. Jesus is the only person you must please because he is God and it is his blood that will get you into heaven. Bless you for being honest and for not trying to please everybody that comes along. going into massive debt just to please people is ridiculous as well as sinful. Jesus loves you.

Nahh, life is too short to worry about little stuff like that. Just make sure and give them all a card or something next year.

The better way is not to give to anyone of them. Then you are being fair.
