I have a coworker who everyone feels the need to walk on egg shells around because she's bipolar. This is a diagnosis I've given her not exactly from a doctor. She's very intelligent but unfortunately uses this more as a weapon, how do I avoid confrontation with this emotionally unstable person when we work in such close proximities?

I wonder if it is for formal occasions only. Sometimes one is not sure, and it has happened not just to myself, but I have seen it happen to other people, as one person may decide to position their hand towards a handshake, whereas the other person may have it in mind just to say hello, and the other person is left fumbling with his hand. Same applies to kissing customs across the world, one doesnt seem to be sure as to what to do properly whether to forward one's cheek or the other person should be putting their cheek forward. Any ideas.

It used to be that there were big campaigns to help curb litter. Does anyone recall the slogans on TV, Radio and even posters at school saying, "Give a hoot, don't pollute. Never be a dirty bird. In the city and in the wood, help keep America looking good!"

Nowadays, I see people everywhere just throwing trash on the ground, outside their vehicle in a parking log, and even on the street in front of their own house.

Litter in this country is getting to be a disgusting problem and really out of hand and I would like to know why.

I don't own a cell phone or a PDA or any of that portable $hit. If I go to an outdoor patio I have to pretend that I'm important and other people want to be in contact with me.

I'm in a college course class with a young lady who is in her twenties. This evening during our two and fifty mintue class, she came to class late and sat right next to me. We had a class discussion during our class session. There is only thirteen students in this college course. Anyhow, the young lady started sharing her opinions on the topic we were discussing. But, she literally started hollering during the class session. She hollered so much she gave me a bad headache and made me annoy. Also, she interupts people when they give their opinion on the subject. The professor politely told her to cut it out. But, she kept right at it. Also, she blurts out opinions that do not make much sense. I know, she has ADD because she shared that on the first class session. However, I have 12 weeks of this class and she is starting to bother me. This class meets weekly.Should I politely ask her to stop it?
Or, should I tell the professor my problem?

Do you tip someone who gives you a manicure or pedicure or even a massage, and how much if you do... How much would you tip someone for dying or cutting your hair.. Never been in these types of situations before but plan on in the near future...

I was invited to a party by a good friend. The party was a casual event but catered. Another friend who is not as close wiht the friend having the party asked to come along with me a week after the RSVP had to be in. I asked the friend having the party if she could come. The first friend said ok. The second friend did not come to the party. She only called (left a message) and said she wouldn't be able to make it and didn't say why. When my friend asked me why the 2nd friend wasn't there I couldn't give a good answer.

Do you think the 2nd friend should apologize and/or give an explanation? to me? to the 1st friend?

I told the 2nd friend that they should because what they did was rude and disrespectful? Am I wrong?

While vsiitng my fiances parents in Puerto Rico for a week I met their first one and only Grandson. His name is "Numaury".

They dote on him continually and shamelesly to the point where it makes a visitor want to heave at times.

He is about 3 years old. Apparently he can do no wrong.

While his Grandmom was holding him he wrenched off her glasses and twisted them into a pretzel like shape and tossed them on the floor which evoked laughter and encouragement from both Grandparents!!!!

Then, later on after dinner I saw him calmly pull down his shorts and urinate agains the wall in the Living Room to his Grandparents utter delight !!!!!!!!!

What is wrong with her parents?

Is this some strange Puerto Rican custom to allow childen to urinate and "defacate" in the house...becuse that's exactly what he did later on in the kitchen, again to the Grandparents delight he squatted down and ...

They told me that was a sign of "Good Luck"!

What's with Puerto Ricans

I am 32 and I work at a high school. There is another teacher who is 60 years old. Ever since I started working at this school, she constantly finds me talking to someone and rudely interupts the conversation. She takes over the conversation and then I get ignored. This bothers me. She has been working at the school for 10 years. I am new but have a higher degree than her. She interupts me as if I am not there and then dominates the conversation. This is during my lunchbreak and after school. Should I say something to her? she doesn't seem like a nice person.
