YOU need to practice at home- out loud. Write yourself a script and rehearse it.

Never list bad things, without athe option to change them.

negative-
example: I have a tendency to be too focused on a project and don't stop till its all done, not matter how long it takes.
So I have created a punch list and a timeline for each item, so I can feel like I have reached a level of completion and still cover more bases in other projects at the same time.

The best line to always write in:
I pride myself on getting the job done, if I don't understand or know how to do it, I find out the answers and get it done. That makes me feel good, like I've done my part.

I like karen W's answer. Be honest, but show how your worst quality can actually be a kind of advantage to the company.

For example:
"One of my worst qualities is that I am a perfectionist. I'm very detail-oriented, so when I work on a project I pay very careful attention to that project, sometimes ignoring other less important ones. I have to make sure that the project is perfect before I can move on to something else."

For Best Qualites, say that "people have told me I am good at (such and such) (describe an actual scenario)...for worst qualites, downplay on the wording...for instance:

you're Lazy and just dont give one: "Well, I'm (active voice) definitely working to maintain my motivation at certain points throughout the day"

You're kind of a pushover: "People have told me I could be a little more confident"

You eat Garlic consistently and thus have bad breath on a constant basis: "I've been struggling for some time (fane painful memory) with moderate Gingivitis...people tend to find my conversations (briefly direct eye contact into further range of room corner)...unpleasant, you might say. I am using Listerine as best I can"

Be honest. Yes, identifying the "bad" qualities is a challenge. The trick is to make it positive. For example, say that you're a perfectionist, that you sometimes get caught up in details of a project (or whatever, depending on what the job is). Don't mention anything about your personality traits or personal stuff like emotions or stuff - that won't go over well. Make it general.

Try to make your worse quality something that is actually a plus. Such as, "sometimes I try to take on too much work, and I have to remind myself to keep a managable workload." or "Sometimes I can get so involved in a project that I lose track of when it's time to go home." Best qualities might be something like you are very organized and know how to prioritize your workload. You are good at gaining the confidence of customers or clients. You really enjoy solving problems for others, and so on. Hope that helps.

Try to think of something that you do that might be 'annoying' in day to day life but is actually a positive at work. I.E. "I'm a perfectionist and sometimes having a hard time letting things go when they aren't 100% perfect" Don't use that if you're not, because they will notice. "I'm picky about spelling & grammer."

You want your worst to sound like a plus for the company if you can.

I just say something like; i'm hard work, responsible and very reliable. My worst quality is that I hate getting up for work (just kidding) I usually say something like I don't have any bad qualities.

Gawd that is the worst of all the questions. best: I love to learn new things...worst: i am addicted to the internet. oh, yeah, that would be bad...how bout, i havent travelled enough. Eh, there really isnt a good answer to the worst quality, cause no one ever is honest, and no one ever wants you to be.

be honest, but start on the negative, ending on the positive.
Give them a "worst" quality that is actually a "good" quality.

First of all, always, always emphasize your Positive qualities and just briefly mention a couple of weaknesses that you have improved on in the last year. That way you are not pinned against the Proverbial Wall.

That way you have addressed weaknesses (Hell, we all have them), but you dont have to respond to it with a Dead End answer by saying, "I'm very Impatient",and get stuck there.

Personally, I think my answer is the best!!! Diplomacy is always the Key!!!
