it should be for transportation not to impress people. But you are right people judge you by what you drive what you wear where you eat how you look. People have to be proud no matter if they're poor or unattractive. Let's not belittle anyone whata you say?

There thinking it is all they can afford to get them to were they have to go each day, just because someone drives a BMW or some other flash car doesn't mean they are super cool or rich, they are usually the ones up to their eyeballs in debt because they have a lifestyle way beyond their budget, they are part of the two bob snob syndrome of this world and need to get a grip.

Maybe material things aren't important to them.
Maybe they would rather spend the money on more important things than fancy cars that serve the same purpose as a "rubbish" car.
Maybe they are all grown up and don't give a rip what people think.
Just food for thought.......
Some people feel fortunate to even HAVE a car- let alone what kind!!!!!!!

I would not consider the type of car driven as *reflecting bad* on someone... or at least, what reflect bad is subjective.
Personally, a young person driving an overly expensive car is dangerous and stupid, and helps me spot a young idiot... a 50 yrs old man with a Porsche helps me spot a erectile disfunction... but perhaps that is not what you meant?

Why do people have the need to express their sense of self-worth through the value of a aluminium construction on wheels?
Or why do people have the need to reflect the size of their ego in the size of their engine blocks?
Baffles me.
PS. My favourite is a Smart car. But then not many realize it got a Mercedes engine it it. Did you???

Perhaps they don't need to overcompensate for other shortcomings by buying something impractical. OR maybe they realize that material possessions are not the purpose of life. OR maybe they simply spend their money on things like food and shelter. In any event I am sure that they are all waiting for the day that they can personally apologize to you for their horrible offense...or simply for the chance to give you a swift kick in the ****!

Depends on your taste as to what you consider a rubbish car - also some people don't have so much cash to spend and so can't get what twits like you might consider a 'cool' car. I myself have a Matiz, very small and might be considered rubbish, but I like it, it does its job getting me from A to B and it was all I could afford. So there - yah boo sucks to you Mr Judgemental.

Unfortunately, in this country not all people are on the same economic level as you are. People buy what they can afford and afford to drive. There are many people living on minimum wage and they are trying to do the best they can. Give them a break and don't judge too harshly.

And I park my 76 Dodge truck about 6" from the driver side door of a new Mercedes or Jag. I sure home they don't scratch my truck when they open their door...
Serves them right for parking cockeyed and taking up 4 parking places....

Not everyone can afford a nice ride!!! You don't judge a person by the shoes they have on, or the car they drive!!!
