~do I really need to draw you a picture? ;)

You may want to find out what you are doing or acting out in your dreams that she feels compelled to wake you. She may be concerned and handling it the only way she knows how by waking you up. If this is becoming a source of contention with you then you will have to sit down and have a calm converstation about it. Try switching roles and imagine she is the one with the constant reoccuring nightmares, how would you handle it? Would you first course of action be to wake her up? How would you want to be treated if this is the way in which you dealt with her nightmares?
It maybe a good idea to get to the bottom of those nightmares you are having. I would also suggest getting tested for some kind of sleeping disorder, it may have a great deal to do with the situation. It may be something it may be nothing but what can it hurt to find out? There are no painful test, a simple over night sleep at a sleep clinic where they monitor your sleep modes, its harmless. Simply add it on to your yearly physical.
Treat your wife the way you wanted to be treated.

Treat her as she should be treated with major respect and you can see that she is a very careing woman that is conserned about you and that she wants to make sure that you are okay or more then that.
I bet you would do the same thing for her and you would want the same for you in what is respect and love as she wants from you as well so in many ways that it go's both ways you treat her wit respect and many other positive emotional things etc then she should or will do the same for you also. it works the same in any Relationship or even if you are married as well.
If you want to put it another way in what soime may look at it if not all do unto others as they would do unto you in every Positive way.

Ask her if she needs to talk about it or tell you about it. Either way, snuggle up with her and make her feel comfy. If you want to stop the nightmares, tell her to monitor what she eats before bed. Spicy, or hard-to-digest foods can cause bad dreams. Best of all just be comforting, though.

The husband should spoon or hold her as both of them fall back to sleep. It doesn't take much, just being held.
I for one have a huge nightmare problem. I don't expect my husband to wake up and listen to me explain it all, but I do like it when he can turn around and cuddle with me as we both fall back to sleep. It saves from a lot of uneccessary tears and keeping one or both of us awake longer than necessary.
Good luck!

Are you implying you have some sort of pleasure in these nightmares? See a doctor. It may be a sign of sleep apnea.

tell her that you love her but her not sleeping does not mean you don't have to sleep. You can talk about her bad dreams in the morings over breakfast or whenever you guys talk.
My wife has bad dreams to usually she leaves me sleep but when she does wake me i tell her that half sleep. Sometimes she gets upset but such is life i need my sleep. Also sometimes i am not nice and i yell to leave me the &*(*&( alone then i have to aplogize in the moring

Thank her you clod...certain Nightmares have been known to trigger Myocardial Infarcts moron, so you should be grateful you have someone that is "willing" to actually sleep next you, let alone in the same room with all your "personal demons" running amok in your psyche !

Like a queen. She's doing you a favor. Shut up, get over your bad dream, then go back into a beautiful sleep. And stop complaining about it.
