Yes, it's possible. I have a few male friends and with most of them there has never been any sexually attraction between us at all.
It's maybe different for each individual though. Maybe it's not possible for everyone. It depends on your personality I guess whether you can be friends with the opposite sex without any sexual attraction.

yes. this is also called 'platonic love' in philosophical terms. from my experience i have come across many guys of whom i have got along well and formed friendships with, without ever being sexually attracted to them. we share the same common interests and they don't make a huge fuss that i am female although it all depends on the person you are with, and particularly how long you've known this person for, is another crucial element; if you are really close with them and develop strong feelings for him or her, then its no longer platonic love. but throughout the years, it has been proven that there are women who have men as friends, inasmuch as men have women as pals too.
platonic love could also imply that with two people from the opposite sexes forming a close friendship, as opposed to say a relationship, that the concept of homosexuality might have a bearing on this as well. although the term platonic relates to two HETROSEXUAL people, male and female, and not two gay men or lesbian women.
and yes you can be friends with someone who isn't of the same gender as yourself.

Yes. I have a male friend who is gay, so there's no love action ever going to be happening there (unless he makes a play for my husband, but I trust them both). I have great friendships with straight men, they are sometimes a little flirty too, which is nice, kind of personality-affirming or something. But they remain friendships, and I am not inclined to think of them otherwise.
So to answer your question: yes.

Yes. All my relationships with women involve no sexual attraction. I am celibate. I will admit I was not always so, but have been since 1978 for all but a few months in 1996.

My personal experience says yes. No i am not gay, neither is my friend a lesbian and yeah she is pretty. Its just the way you perceive your relationship. Look at the person with what you want from him/her and youll be able to decide, give urself an option-i know majority of us(men) dnt prefer options but its better to see things differently. Overall it definitely works if u want it to work.

The "When Harry Met Sally" syndrome. It is possible for men and women to be friends without sexual attraction, speaking from my own experience that is.

Occasionally - I have 2 close male mates who [im sure] do not fancy me at all. However one of these I suspect is gay [so that don't count does it?]
Sadly the majority of my male mates have all expressed wished to bed me at one time or another. I jus let them know whats what and then we move on
Conversely I have fancied some of my male mates before we became frends so it can go either way really

"men will never see a woman as just a friend
women can see men as just friends but men will always think about if it ever happened.. fact!!"
WHAT?! thats aload of crap.
I have loads of female friends, I live with 3 of them and I've never been attracted to any of them. The thought has never entered my mind. They aren't unattractive or anything, I've just never had a thing for any of them.
Oh and I'm not gay haha.

Gee, I don't know, is it possible for you to have a friendship with the same sex when there's no sexual attraction, or don't you have any male friends, or are you sexually attracted to all of them?
