My husband's grandfather recentely passed away and we are having a very unconvential funeral. His ashes are going to be sprinkled on a very famous golf course and, as the club is fancy but it is in terms a funeral, I'm at a loss at to what to wear.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Is it a sign of disrespect to you or your husband if they haven't bothered to try to learn to pronounce it after 10 years?

As an young adult(early 20s) is it OK to lie about something that is nobodies business but your own.

For example, if you have done something DUMB that will not affect anyone else but will only hurt yourself is it OK to lie about it when asked point blank in order to save yourself? By save yourself I mean from the LONG talk, disappointment, a lot of concern and answering a lot of embarassing questions.

What if it was the Pastor that you lied to? Does it make a differance who you lie to? Would it be best to confess that you lied? What if you still do not want to tell the truth? Could you just admit you lied and refuse to revisit the question?

Does anyone know why some people take so long to resolve their questions? It almost seems like they've abandoned them, and just left them to their own devices. It drives me nuts, maybe i'm just too controlling. Is there a certain etiquette to follow, and shouldn't everyone follow it so i don't go snakey?

I am the maid of honor, there are no bridesmaids. I know it is my duty to throw a bridal shower for her and I look forward to doing this for her. However due to being financially strapped. Is it my responsibility to buy everything including food for all guests?? Or is it her parents responsibility to provide the food?? I have no problem buying deocrations, invitations, etc. But I do not know if the whole cost is my responsibility.

I remember several year ago where practically every other car had that sign and now I barely see any out there. It goes to show it was a fad and phoney trend. I mean who cares if you have a child/baby on board? Do you think that we drive more recklessly or less careful because there's no baby on board? It's so damn phoney! Like we care sooooo much that a baby is on board so everyone is going to tippy toe or something.

1. Do you tailgate?
2. Do you race like a bat out of hell to keep another car from cutting in between you and the car in front of you?
3. Do you drive looking in the rear view mirror so you can stay ahead of the drivers behind you, and speed up to keep from being passed.
4. Do you change lanes often?
5. Do you find yourself constantly swearing and/or making obscene jestures toward other drivers?
6. Do you cross the double double yellow lines to get in and out of the diamond lanes?
7. Do you use the diamond lanes without having a passenger?
8. If you had one wish - What would you wish to improve the California Freeways?

When your hands are full and you approach an outer door and someone offers to open it for you, do you wait for them to open the inner door too? It is so awkward when I am pushing the stroller and this happens. What should I do?

Why are people so harsh when answering these questions? Granted, some of the questions are ridiculous, many of them are serious...
Why does everyone have to be so judgemental?

Its seems that it is more socially acceptable for someone (anyone) to say the word "cracker" than it is to say the word "******". Why is that? Shouldn't they both be equally derrogitory? I feel they NEITHER should be used, but I am boggled by the fact that TV/Radio never "beeps out" the word "cracker" and never fails to when the word "******" is used. To make my point YAHOO has even blanked out the word -n-i-g-g-e-r-. in my dialogue above and DID NOT blank out the word cracker. So my point has been well proven, even in just the simple act of posting this question.

okay i have a boarder who lives with my bf and i..
he's a little pain in the ***. he's 19 and does nothing to help around the house.. its hard enough to get him to clean up after himself... he's always nosing around our stuff.. he's taken some of my shirts out of the closet.. (i don't know where else he got it from its a hard core logo shirt..)
i'm missing some hoodies.. i'm sure he's taken them only i can't prove it.. he's taken some green things from us too... screens.. etc..
if you look at one of my last ?'s it explains about an air riffle.. and an injured rabbit.. i'm sure he had something to do with as all the evidence says so...

what my question is.. should i lay a trap leave some money.. or something of interest that i know he'll take.. just to help prove my point were better off without him and his money

the amount he gives us equals to half of our rent.. but my bf and i both have good jobs and make enough that fincially he's only a plus not a nessecity

I just found out that my BF's Co-worker's father passed away. He and his buddies from work are intending to go to the wake tonight. When I found this out, I immediately offered to go with him for moral support, as he has never been to a wake before. I have been to many wakes and have experience in what is expected, whereas my BF does not.

He told me that one of his buddies from work sent out an email about the wake and (as far as I can tell) it is his assumption that it is just his buddies going to the wake. I tried to explain to him that usually in these situations, significant others are usually expected to attend. He continued to refuse my offer, making it seem as if I could not go because I was not invited.

It's hard enough going to a wake when you have experience, but my BF has no experience. I've offered my support to him, but he thinks he knows what will go on. Do I let him just crash and burn - or do I try and convince him to let me go with him for moral support?
