I remember several year ago where practically every other car had that sign and now I barely see any out there. It goes to show it was a fad and phoney trend. I mean who cares if you have a child/baby on board? Do you think that we drive more recklessly or less careful because there's no baby on board? It's so damn phoney! Like we care sooooo much that a baby is on board so everyone is going to tippy toe or something.

My point is that Adult lives are just as important as Children's. All lives are important so it's just too damn phoney to me!

What's phoney about having a 'child (or baby) on board' when you really have one with you? If you don't - then you should take the sign down. I thought the signs were a great idea.

I would be very ticked if some fire fighter or emt risked thier lives to save this baby when in fact the kid has been left at home for this trip. A child's life is no more sacred than an adults.

Only when I see the car behaving like it's in a drag race. On that note, people with those Jesus fish stickers should be a little more careful too. Nothing says "filled with the spirit of God" like cutting someone off or swerving and screaming and gesturing obscenely out your window.

Yes, but someone made alot of money doing it.

But far as thinking about doing something because of a sign in the back window, you shouldn't be doing it in the first place, if a sign is there or not.

My husband got into an accident during a snowstorm with a lady who had a kid and one of those signs in her car. She got out of her car shrieking at him, "Can't you see the sign? It says 'Baby On Board!'"

He replied, "It should say Stupid Driver On Board. You were driving wayyyyyy too fast."

I notice that many of the people with those signs are also the worst drivers. Maybe they are refering to themselves and their driving ability.

Why would you want to alert a possible kidnapper that you have a child with you? I always thought the signs were stupid.

It's part of human nature to place more value on children. Whether it's warranted or not is another question.

That sign does make sence. It's supposed to mean that before you tailgate someone or attempt to go crazy with road rage, think of the baby in that car and what damage you are really doing by not paying attention to what you are doing. I think that sign was a good idea.

I think it's well intentioned, trucks hauling hazardous materials put placards on warning of the danger, it's the same idea, they would be the first to recieve medical attention in a large scale accident, I don't see it being a bad thing at all, I didn't use one for my littleun's tho.
