My husband's grandfather recentely passed away and we are having a very unconvential funeral. His ashes are going to be sprinkled on a very famous golf course and, as the club is fancy but it is in terms a funeral, I'm at a loss at to what to wear.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I understand black and "muted" colors are appropriate, but I need suggestions as to my wardrobe....

Thank you!

I would wear a navy or black or gray tailored business suit, pants or skirt. I would wear very plain prints, if any at all. I would focus on my accessories; good shades, good shoes, good handbag. Not too much jewelry, maybe earrings and a bracelet. MOST people will not be looking at you for long, so try to keep comfortable, too.

Country clubs are traditional, and so are funerals .Out of respect for the family grieving ,somber, dark clothing would probably be the safest. Considering The grandfather was presumably a member of the club he was probably traditional as well.what you may want to find out is if the mode will be casual or if the grampa was prominent
I would think A black suit,or conservative dress, if either is short sleeved use gloves black hat, and pumps . use the black dress staple of your wardrobe just don't make it flashy, just simple and in good taste, not too short, actually not short at all.
now if the grampa and family is eccentric then or unusual in lifestyle , then creativity would pass.you can always ask your mother in law or the relative that's handling the funeral

Wearing black or white is appropriate in either a dress, skirts or pants. Nothing sheer or sexy as in low or plunging neckline or very skimpy or short hemlines. . Funerals and weddings are formal occasions and are the only time one is required to wear formal clothes. No loud colors such as red. Definitely, no red. It's insulting to the family and moaners.

Something conservative but I would avoid heels since you may be walking over the course and don't want to damage the grounds.

If you can wear a small piece of jewelry that mirrors the golf theme or something else in line with grandpa's personality that would be acceptable and appreciated.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Something conservative in nature and a dark color - black, navy, brown. If you are going out walking on a golf course...bring shoes appropriate for the situation.

a simple or elegant black dress would be perfecto with a hint of a little bit of jewlery don't wear too much cuz it'll look like ur going to a party jus' keep it simple and elegant (it will show that you respect of wut's going on) *you can get those [simple and elegant] dresses maybe at Macy's* (if you like that store) but i recommend it. and may your husband's grandfather rest in peace.

Hope you have a nice outfit!!

Something to show respect. A nice pair of slacks and pretty top. Something in muted tones. PLEASE no sportswear or jeans!I'm old fashion, I don't think bright colors are right to wear to a funeral, either.

I would wear something colorful like a pink dress with yellow polka dots paired with some yellow pumps and a pink unbrella and Elton John sunglasses... in sparkly pink

A simple black or navy suit and a white blouse is always tasteful.
